When I hear a scenario like this, that there’s a man who’s a born-again believer and teachable, but isn’t doing well financially and because of that a woman doesn’t want to date or marry him, I’m more likely to advice against the relationship. This is because it sounds to me like she’s just not into him. But in lieu of saying some potentially hurtful statements like ‘i’m not attracted to you’ or ‘i find you uninteresting,’ she claims it’s cos of money. Make we dey try talk true sometimes...ahn ahn. As a Christian woman, if you meet a man that’s a believer AND you like him and truly want to be with him, a lack of money will not be a dealbreaker. It may cause you to take more time to plan things out and have a strategy but it won’t cause this kind of doubt in the heart, where you have to be convinced to be with the person.

Thank you Tosin. To add to what you’ve said, The first question for the girl who asked the question is : you yourself are you “broke”? If you are then maybe you should seek to increase your earnings first before looking at his pocket. If peradventure you’re well to do, then you have to look at his track record, i.e, what is he currently doing, has he tried different things to raise his finances, is he just plain lazy or he’s just been unlucky. He might not have a lot today but as long as he’s diligent and making an effort , something good might come out in the end. It’s not about the now but about the future.

Always a delight to watch, so profound and passionately shared . Watched earlier from my brother’s account and couldn’t comment,now watching on mine again. Purpose truly is very important. I was once with a guy, spiritual relationship, God helped us to honour Him while it lasted, His boss died shortly after and he left the job . He was down to ground zero, I didn’t mind, I was ready to brainstorm with him on ideas and new stuffs on how to better himself, but he kept turning down every job offer especially when he was being recommended by someone. ( I couldn’t tell if it was pride -- he will say, I don’t want a bank Job) And he never gave me a tangible reason for that, He couldn’t even afford to feed, and his mum had a health challenge..... las las, I felt redundant in the relationship, no growth, I prayed about it, felt peace and told him I wanted a break and to re-evaluate my life, I asked him to do same, we may feel the need to come back better. He thought I wanted to break up but deep down, I just wanted him to be better. We finally went our separate ways and everyone is happy today. 😊. I feel so proud of how God has brought me when I see the top qualities on my list of choosing a partner. Thanks a million The hot hot Tosin 😄❤️

This scripture came to mind when I was listening. One thing that I'm certain of is that the righteous cannot be forsaken and his children will not beg for bread. A man that knows and love the Lord will prosper both in the spiritual and in the natural. He might go through seasons of dealings but he will not "lack" because he lives on/by heavens economy. (and those season in most cases prepare them for abundance so much that when money comes their hearts will still be fixed on God). God is wise he won't give money to a man that is not mature enough to handle it because it'll destroy him but he'll rather teach through the days of little beginnings.

As you said “you have no business getting into a relationship if you are not hearing from God” God has a reason for everything he’s doing, if God really gave you the go ahead (not that you are the one trying to twist Gods arm in prayer) then he has a good plan for you cause God doesn’t even like lazy people, Ecc 9:10 also 1Tim 5:8 so God won’t bring a lazy person your way but you must be patient and prayerful and like Tosin said, do your own thing! And make your own paper!

So my friend married this guy and he is cool, he was working, he was well to do kinda, but she missed what his purpose was, which he didn't even tell her initially. I really enjoyed this video and it is one that I definitely can relate to. I'm kinda in the same situation. The guy is great but in the past he wasn't too focused on getting financially stable but is working on that now. It causes trust issues and insecurities at that but I'm prayerful that God will renew his mind before we can commit. He's also one of the kindest people I've ever met. He would give his last and his best to those who need it. One time he jist bought a new pair of tennis but gave it away. And that's just how he is naturally. Some other guys with money would be so mean n tight handed with what they have. I guess I just have to trust God to provide and to make the guy become a great provider if it's God's will. I do like to look at the potential in people because I know what God can do. And life can change at any time. Thanks for the video sis. It really is something to reflect on.
