I feel like MW19 was exactly the perfect mix for Milsim and absolutely out there. We had our anime gun skins, Iskra's Arachnis (Goth girl with a bright purple cape), Bale the mad scientist Domino the sexy unicorn lady and that infamous Roze skin (which makes her look like a BDSM Dommy Mommy) to name a few but all in all, most skins were relatively realistic, even the bundles

I think it's important to distinguish the difference between a skin and a weapon variant/camo within cod at least. I always refer to outfits and player models as skins(especially in this video). I'm fine with weapons being whatever as long as they aren't flying master craft dragons... ya know? Anime stickers and cool colors are great with me

Just so you know, the max shadow company skin does have orange tinted goggles. The thing that the operator is showcased in a dimly lit room. If you get the skin or have a friend that has it, play on a map like Hydroelectric and you’ll see it’s actually orange.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but personally I've lost interest in everything campaign related after this cod Next event. They revealed Zakhaev is still alive in zombies because he didn't die in the campaign when Price threw him over a 3+ story drop... it's so dumb. Connecting campaign and zombies has fully removed any semblance of stakes campaigns have to offer now. But if you seen my previous video on Nicki Minaj, my solution to this smorgasbord of wacky to mil sim to cell shaded skins is to add a cosmetic filter. It let's everyone be happy.

Lol W!!! It was a very fun match, I had to save it! And yes, there will probably be some cool skins coming forward too. Unfortunately you just don't see them in cod because it's a first person game. However apparently zombies this year will have a 3rd person toggle so I'm happy!

To be fair, I have 7d 19h 32m on MW22, but I'm level 746, granted, I also have Orion. And while I doubt he'll respond, I'm all down for this beef, because I don't get why people listen to people like him. I'm sure he's a fine person IRL, but all he, and many other CoD KZbinrs, have made their career into complaining about whatever is in the new CoDs, no matter how hypocritical it may be. And I'm sorry, but I'm not playing as some 80 year old Shepard... Even if it was a 1 in a million skin.

Ahh, ya I mean cod has never played like a mil sim. Hardcore mode is the closest I think but it's still arcadey. Even DMZ feels very cod like in comparison to Tarkov which is good.

And while I agree it wasn't great that the gingerbread skin was in a loot box, I think it can pass being in the game. A terminally ill kid designed it, and I don't think they could be like, sorry Julian, we can't add your skin to the game, it doesn't fit the theme. I think that should've been an acceptation.

Did he design it or was it just a concept? Cuz I know for fortnite, kids will send in their concepts and then the devs turn some of them into a skin. You could still write Julian on the operator vest and put the gingerbread skin the kid made into the backpack like Tim the Tatman's Kevin penguin plushie. Maybe it's harsh to say the devs wanted to make money off it but that's literally what happens when skins are put into any game. It wasn't a skin only the kid could use either, it was there to make money like all the other silly skins added to aw supply drops. I'm just pointing out that there's better ways to do this in call of duty, especially when the setting is futuristic

@@theladthatknowsstuff9901 15:09 yeah I know, but given the context of the tweets, the guy above was asking for no more GBMan style skins... that's why I said they hid behind the kid's wish to add more skins unrelated to the gingerbread one. As for designing, I don't think that means a 12 year old did game dev work you need a degree to do. It sounds to me like it's a reference sheet the kid gave to the devs. But again, whatever the kid made could've been made into a plushie. Plushie GBMan, add a jetpack to it too if you want, it's a game, anything can be done. It's not a great conversation to debate upon though because it boils down to "think of the kids" vs "cod should stick to a theme" but cod has had 9 to 10 games since AW and it's still getting more cartoony as the years go by. I put no blame on the kid, obviously because a kid isn't to blame for the implementation.
