making camos and skins for IW4X over the years had me looking through TONS of textures in the game, and i found that the M93 raffica also looks like it could support camos, but it wouldn't be visible because the camo mask only covers the rubber grip lmao. the G18 is sort of the same story, but i think it always technically has a "camo" applied to it which gives it its green color

The 1v1 on rust could have been soo cool, I could imagine that you’d start out in the 1v1 and then once you knife shepherd, the cutscene plays just like the final version, but instead being animated in a more versatile style, to accommodate the fact that the player won’t always be in the same spot when he knifes shepherd

15:40-15:47, both of these sounds are actually leftover from CoD 4's old school mode. The first one is from when you pick up a weapon, & the second is when a weapon respawns. This gamemode is kinda like halo, you spawned with a pistol & had to pick up guns & perks around the map. Whenever a weapon or perked was grabbed it would shortly respawn which is what the second sound was used for. You also had increased jump height & health like halo.

pretty sure the power drill is considered a weapon because npcs would hold it. the weapon models also have view and world variants, seem likely the sight attachment the g36 wants to use, the view model doesn't exist in mw2 or it was broken on that specific model in some way. they didn't just use LODs for the npc/world models, it's an entirely seperate model. so that would explain why it could just fine on the weapon when you drop it.

If I remember there was supposed to be a torture minigame (in the favela, torturing Rojas), but it was scrapped. It would have used the drill. Or atleast this is what I have heard

An interesting tidbit regarding models, there is a WW2 Opel Blitz truck model ported directly from Call of Duty 2 which isn't actually unused, as it can be seen in the final mission. I might be biased because CoD2 is my childhood game, but I love seeing CoD2 leftovers in these games, mainly CoD4 and MW2. Hence the MP44 and MG42 icons found in this episode, as well the 1:02 A and B HUD icons. All from CoD2 baby 😎 As always, keep up the good work! Love these videos

Same and it was also likely that WW2 guns were supposed to be in MW2 but were cut, However weapons like the AK-47 and M14 in game MK14 EBR are descendents of WWII guns with the M14 being based and continuation of the M1 Garand introduced in 1957 and AK-47 the STG-44

If I recall right from years ago that the space station mission would’ve been similar to cod ghost but was cut so we ended up with the cutscene in the final version. We later saw the space station fight happen in cod ghost!

I always found it weird that both of them were in COD4. The M40A3 is just a military variant of the R700, aside from stuff like the M40 having a different stock and heavier barrel, they’re the same gun, so having them not only in the same game, but having slightly different stats for the two makes no sense imo
