fun fact about boichi: He reuses/revamps character designs for all of his works, so while they're different characters in every story, the general appearance of every character between all of his different series is the same. So if you were to read SunKen Rock or Dr Stone (Highly recommend both, though I haven't finished Sun-Ken Rock) you'll see all the characters from Origin again with slightly different appearances/age ranges/personalities, etc. While this could be weird for some people, I think its a really fun and unique feature to his art/manga works

This completely blows my mind, they guy has such a quirky approach to art. I will now be paying close attention whenever I get the chance to get a hold of Dr Stone and Sun-Ken Rock (apparently Sun-Ken Rock does not have an english physical format, is that right? Unless it's out of print). Japan was incredible, I felt so at peace and in tune with the flow of the public. You really do feel like you are part of something bigger there, I miss it already.

Hope you get to visit Japan sometime soon, just be ready to get stressed out by their train system, it's scary and complex at first, but then you'll think it's the best transport system on earth.

Great video as always! I’d like to take a moment to recommend Thunder 3, after hearing how much you’ve been enjoying manga like Dandadan and Origin. Thunder 3 is a Sci-fi/ Mystery series by Ikeda, Yuuki that follows three schoolboys rescuing one of their sister after she gets kidnapped by aliens. The art is absurdly gorgeous and makes use of 3D elements at times (which doesn’t come as a surprise given the author was supposedly an assistant for the author of Gantz). Despite being present as very serious, the comedic timing is amazing and takes inspiration from a lot of classic gag manga. It’s uniquely charming and one of a kind, I can’t recommend it enough. Volume 1 came out a few weeks ago but the series has been running since 2022. The cover also takes inspiration from classic movie posters and makes it look super stylish. It’s probably my favorite 2024 release alongside Kagurabachi!

Just curious, are you "relaxing" the spines on your Vinland Saga Deluxe hardcovers. They use a ton of glue to stick the pages to the spine so it doesn't open up very nicely otherwise.

i strongly strongly advise you to read hunter x hunter for a few years i didnt know what my favorite manga or anime was and it would constandly switch but then one day i watched the first episode of hunter hunter and i sat there and new that was the best anime i have ever watched i ended up watching it all in 2 weeks and the manga is also amazing the art is cool the characters are very interesting the power system is probably the best in all of anime and the fights seens are incredible it is and amazing sorie
