You need the Mobile Vehicle Bay to construct the Sea Moth. You need to find the fragments for it, build it, deploy it. I also suggest finding the fragments for the Sea Glide. That will help you navigate the waters faster. It's such a good game. Hope you have fun!

You need the mobile vehicle bay to make the seamoth and the bigger sub, you need the habitat tool to make the vending machine, and you need to make some kind of habitat to place it in.

Also the vending machine is pretty trash. It will give you crisps, but they provide like 2 food and -2 water or something useless. What you should do instead is catch fish and cook them in your fabricator. Also there's a fish that you can convert to water in your fabricator too. Cooked fish will spoil over time, but you can keep live fish in your inventory or a storage, for as long as you need.

To add onto this, once you start collecting salt, you can make preserved fish, which will last longer, but will still eventually spoil. There's other sources of more permanent food and water, but I'm not going to spoil. More episodes please! :D

Just like in Ark, anything that looks like a jellyfish you should avoid running into. That's what killed you. (the first time) The last time you died was to a fish called a bleeder. They look like little red worm/fish(basically pirahnas)
