Maybe it helps to be by yourself and have a video camera. Back before the pandemic and I could travel , I'd travel alone and I was always astounded at the people that would come up to me in a bar or restaurant or , really , any public space and start a conversation.

I think it would be so dope if you did a 2020 year in review video where you include bloopers and footage that never made it into your posted videos (travel footage, vlog footage, picking up your camera, raves lol, birthday bts, red wine talks, you singing, reels, photos, etc.) Even if it’s like 2 hours long, I definitely would watch and I’m sure your other subscribers would agree. I know it’s probably a shit ton of work to edit but I also think there’s beauty in it kind of being thrown together kind of randomly. From reading A New Earth and just watching your videos in general, I think reflection is a beautiful thing and I would love to overall just experience 2020 through your eyes.

It amazes me how people find others, meet people so easily, chat and laugh. Like who are these people?! Where do you even find them? Damon seems to find them everywhere he goes - it must be him and his amazing personality. Such a foreign concept to me (no pun intended). Also, I've been a hermit at home all year and decided not to travel home for the holidays and it's just so weird seeing people, seeing Damon go places and have experiences. It seems like it's another world than the one I have been living in honestly. It's escapism and I really enjoy watching! #quityerbellyachin lol

I love that more and more youtubers are discovering rural life, living in communities and permaculture. It's definitely a big change from the "norm", but I have never left more at ease and relayed that when I am in those spaces. I really encourage everyone to try to find a community and try it out. Andy and Linda are very interesting people. I remember touring their home (my good friends lived in an airstream on their property) and being absolutely amazed by what they have hidden in the forest. She rescues the possums. I remember her having 4 or so in her pockets at the co-op once. Anyway seeing this brings back a lot of memories from my time living there. Damon, this video really spoke to me. I'm from a tiny (very conservative) town in Illinois and I've been living abroad for the last 3 years. My attitude towards my hometown has been so prickly and what you said about judging your home more harshly than you do other places you've visited resonates so much with my experience. Thank you for making this video. I feel much more aware of my own "small town" baggage and I hope to be able to make peace with it. TY TY TY

These videos have been making me fall back in love with Indiana too! I was born and raised here and definitely take it for granted or judge it after my travels but these have shown all the beautiful little corners and interesting people
