CGB called Urabrask, Heretic Praetor Urabrask the Hidden and gave the abilities text for Heretic Praetor. Overlay had The Hidden. I was waiting for everyone to figure out they were using the wrong rules for the card until I saw the art for the card on the table which was Heretic Praetor and not The Hidden. Was a Shahrazad sub-game of figure out which Urabrask is in play and which abilities should be used. Not even mad, I interacted way more than usual. Very fun.

Just gotta say this is my favorite commander show out of the lot, I love that you all have a standing cast and you can get to know everyone’s play style and the production and editing has gotten better with every episode! Excited to see it on a dedicated channel as well!

Aaaaand, as usual, it's the same ol' game where everyone focusses Shae, Ben gets land-screwed and then CGB combos infinitely to win because everyone focussed their counterspells and removal on Shae. I really loved the Worst Possible Commander Show and I still do but the games do get.. repetitive. It's always the same formula: Shae and Ben either get mana-screwed or focussed / countered into nothingness and then either Blake or CGB (usually CGB) combos into Oblivion and wins the game out of nowhere. Rarely does it not go that way.. Would really to see a shake-up happening where CGB plays a combat-focussed deck that doesn't go infinite with literally every 2nd card.

With usually two blue mages and and aggro and a midrange player, that's kind of how magic goes my dude. Everyone has to shut down shae before she kills the table, the blue mage(s) control the board and counter when they feel appropriate, and the midrange player hopes for the mana and cards to keep everyone from noticing him while he sets up a combo to go off. Ben does get mana screwed a lot though, might be a deck formula issue or just very unlucky.

I hate to be that guy but a couple things: 1. Urbrask only replaces your first draw each turn, Cultivator Colossus would still work. 2. The cost reduction from Shay's commander would not apply to Multikicker since it's an additional cost and the commander reduces casting cost

Wondering if I am misunderstanding Liara, since she says "cast" as opposed to "play" which i thought made her different than prosper who lets you play lands from exile, whereas a cast trigger i would think, would auto exile lands as they are never cast?

My recommandation for Shae's deck : Delayed Blast Fireball ! It will fit perfectly in this "play from exile" theme. Other than that, the deck seems very fun to play with, congrats.

Genuine question regarding Fierce Guardianship at 34:08 : The new targets of Deflecting are only announced once it resolves, aren’t they? And at that point it can’t be countered anymore. So technically you would have to counter Deflecting Swat without knowing the new target, right?

Good point! This is casual EDH, first and foremost. Secondly, the Swat targeted the Putrefy which was targeting the Greaves and redirected the Putrefy to the [I forget]. Fierce then countered the Swat. So, had the Fierce been cast in a cEDH match, it would’ve been cast prior to the redirect. The outcome is the same: the Swat is countered. But, your point is valid, especially if the Fierce had been countered or redirected (at which point, in a casual game, the stack would rewind a few steps)

When Shae is archenemy for almost the entire game, then CGB becomes archenemy and wins in the next turn. Also Blake didn't play blue but he still got to draw his whole deck so at least that's a win

I've been playing mimeoplasm ooze tribal for a while now and it rules. I'm super disappointed it didn't work out. Try it again sometime please! This was a little cringey. I don't get why Ben and Blake went after Shay when CGB was running a deck filled with infinite combos. It is not on CGB who very clearly described how he was going to win before playing. I really enjoyed Shay going all in to Boros aggro.

The way Garth works is how I wish spellbook cards in Alchemy worked. A limited pool of cards you could pick from under certain limited conditions but you had to reset the permanent to be able to get more than one copy of any individual card. A new kind of target for Yorion's noodly might, without an actual "come into play" effect, yet undoubtedly worth bouncing.
