Late to the party, but the Bloomburrow expansion which just came out added an incredible board wipe for this deck: Swarmyard Massacre. For 3BB you create two 1/1 Squirrel Tokens, and then every creature that ISN'T an Insect, Rat, Spider, or Squirrel gets -1/-1 for each creature you control that is of one of those types until the end of turn.

I'm just glad that Bone Harvest is useful in this deck. I haven't had a good reason to put it into a deck for a while now!

why dont put Maskwood nexus in? It gives all your creatures on the battlefield and all your creatures that aren't on the battlefield every creaturetype. that means that every creature you hit of Grist's +1 is an insect and you get to continue.

The win con is the +1 ability, and the -5. Because the +1 can make an army of insect tokens with a single go when you have the right setup ready. You also might want to try something like Blex, Vexing Pest though, as it will buff all of your insects. Also I think there might be like one insect with dredge as well that they forgot to name in the video, but that's alright I don't think it's very good lol. But yeah, it's basically just try and amass the largest amount of insects that you possibly can and go for the kill. Hogaak could also be cool in here just thinkin about it

But other than that you're also in GB and using dredge and some aristocrats tech, so you will typically net a lot more card advantage than your opponents.

Super late but wanted to reply for people in the future, wincon is using his ultimate. He gets a loyalty counter every time you mill a bug, not every round you do it, so if you have a loaded insect deck you can start doing the -5 each turn and deal a lot of damage. That’s the main wincon.

In my version of the deck I use Syr Konrad, Mirkwood Bats and Dreadhound as my wincon (besides the -5). But I also play the deck a lot less Commander focused (a lot less insects).
