@@captainpep3 Not much. Mainly that intro section is just so bad. The intro to Breath of The Wild was perfect the best part of that game and everything else went downhill. Tears intro takes way too long and you don't even get everything like you did in Botw. Totk is just Breath of The Wild but the same or worse and since the last game hot old fast that is the last thing I wanted Totk to be like but it is. So I feel I really don't have to finish I already did.

I feel like Nintendo is trying to capitalize as much as they can on the Mario Movie’s success. This is why they’re pushing so hard all their main properties (characters) . Mario, Luigi, Peach and Wario. I wouldn’t be surprised if they released a DK game soon. I feel like Nintendo is about to have a massive shift in their strategy for the following years and im so excited about it

Yeah this was definitely one of the best Directs that I’ve seen. We got some great 3rd-Parties (Batman, Metal Gear, Star Ocean remake, Dragon Quest Monsters, Sonic, and Persona Tactics), some genuinely awesome Nintendo ports/remasters (Luigi’s Mansion, and the Pikmin duology), A FULL FREAKING MARIO RPG REMAKE, a brand new WarioWare more inline with what people love from the series, the brand new Pikmin 4 that seems to be the culmination of everything we love from the series PLUS some great new ideas, a brand new Princess Peach game (we don’t know much, but it looks interesting and also they showed gameplay instead of a pre-rendered which is dope), and of course Super Mario Bros. Wonder that looks absolutely phenomenal!! The ambition and creativity from 3D Mario’s finally in the 2D Mario’s!! This was weird, whacky, and wonderful Nintendo at their finest, and I’m all here for it!! All they needed was a new Tomodachi Life and the quirky Nintendo charm saga would be complete!!

Maybe the Wonder Seeds will let you explore the level Upwards, the flower says "Forward and Upward". Forward is classic Mario level, and Upward is another way to explore so you play every level at least 2 times

I’m warming up to it. I was a bit underwhelmed at first because so much that was either leaked or predicted ended up in the direct so there were no big surprises for me. It was great for Mario fans and I’ll be checking out SMRPG remake. I also was surprised and happy with the Pikmin 1 + 2 shadow drop and got them both.

21:56 As much as I love Super Mario World, that game definitely doesn't need a remake; it's already perfect. There are an endless amount of pixel-based platformers nowadays that are trying to recapture that classic artstyle, but Mario World still holds up as one of the greatest, both in gameplay, and in artstyle. Mario RPG on the other hand, with its pseudo-3D artstyle.. they were trying to do 3D before a fully 3D console existed; there were going to be graphical limitations left and right that you can always "look past", but were truly in dire need of remaking. There are some things that are so easy to miss in the original version, like how the first boss, Mack is not a sword, but a little goblin creature who is riding the sword like a pogo stick; or how Valentina has a little green bird growing out of her head. These little details that don't mean much, but were clearly intended by the artist, and were not captured as well as they could have been. I think the fact that it is the first 3D Mario game means that it is in need of a remake, unlike Mario World or any other 2D Mario game.

I think I heard somewhere that 2D Mario is how they train new and younger Nintendo developers. With Nintendo being more willing to accept wild idea since the Switch era, I think 2D Mario being more wild is expected. I wanted it to be even more wild, considering Mario Maker 2 user created stage pushed creativity of old Mario format to the limit, imo. I think this game should be Mario-Maker-proofed. Meaning there should be no way to recreate it in Mario Maker 2. But I think they include "normal" area to not overwhelm the masses, and kept the wild stuff in this new Wonder Flower activated zone.

For me from Germany Super Mario RPG does feel more like a new game than a remake, because we in Europe were never able to play it on the original SuperNES. Only since VC Era we are actually able to play SMRPG.

I think the wonder flowers are for secondary objective since on each map their is at least 2 wonder seeds one for completing the level and 1 from wonder flower, maybe larger levels could have 2 so 3 seeds in total

I thought this direct was pretty good; it’s been awhile since we got hit with the unexpected knowing that there’s a new 2d Mario that’s a wonder trippy scenario but still good nonetheless; we got a new detective pikachu as well. Super Mario RPG is getting a remake and that gives me hope that the Mario and Luigi series will have that same treatment one day; a super Princess Peach sequel; Batman on switch(where you at spidey??) and Luigi’s mansion dark moon being remade for switch. Pretty crazy stuff but Personally I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re all about.

Highlights imo: Super Mario RPG remake, Super Mario Wonder, & Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince. I'm also looking forward to Persona 5 Tactica but it was less of a highlight since it was shown off during Summer Games fest. The look at Pikmin 4 was nice. Overall I'd rate the direct a B or 7 out of 10. I wish they would announce the Sora smash amiibo already. What is taking them so long?

Honestly mario kart tour doesn’t get enough recognition for it’s great alts and new characters along with the fact it has an engaging ranked cup system with no more gatcha gimmicks. It’s new courses are also underrated and this game is definitely considered the sequel to Mario kart 8 because all tracks labeled as “new” are just tracks coming to your later or already in along with all the city tracks.

Keep this in mind; whether they're ports or remakes, its not only for you guys who *ALREADY* played the game. This is year 2020s, newly existing people haven't even played these games before. You can't be so selfish and whining for something you don't want it to come back because you already have the original in your hands or closet or toilet or whatevs. Let those who were expecting be happy; if not, don't even talk about it and forget it like it never happened. In my case, I'm well surprised with everything that showed in the Direct. Likewise, I'm not saying this as irresponsible generosity. I try not to get hyped because I don't wanna get disappointed for something that ain't gonna happen. On the topic of Konami doing Metal Gear collection volume 1 and presumably volume 2 on switch I just don't care. Maybe one day I'll play the Metal Gear Solid games but I'm annoyed that they won't do anything with Bloody Roar. We are in a fighting game boom as of late and Bloody Roar still has fans so why not? A Bloody Roar 5 would very hype. It could really show up Bloody Roar 4 (the game that killed the series). If not BR5 than at least a collection or port wtf.

Honestly, everyone's saying the Switch is coming to it's end but Nintendo execs claimed they expect it to last longer than the traditional console's lifespan and this Direct backed that expectation up I think. The comments of the Switch being halfway though it's lifespan from late 2020 to early 2022 imply plans for it to last a total of anywhere from 7 to 10 years. And while I doubt that second number is feasible, I wouldn't be surprised if it reached its 8th Birthday before the next system gets released.
