Tbh I used to envy women like Bella until I realized: needing extensive plastic surgery at a young age to be considered desirable will give you a fragile sense of self that is entirely dependent on your physical appearance. I honestly used to desire some sort of plastic surgery to fix whatever issues I thought I had. But through tough self-love and care, I learned to love who I am authentically without going under the knife. I’m so happy that Bella opened up about her personal struggles & showed that she’s more than just a pretty, “perfect” face on magazines 💜💜

I grew up being above average pretty. Was abused, neglected at home. I wasn't allowed to have my own identity. Me being pretty is the only thing my parents saw. Ended up being super insecure, having identity problems (thought I was transgender), sleeping with guys who thought I was pretty to feel good about myself, got body dysmorphia, an eating disorder, depression and anxiety. My sense of self was dependent on my looks. I honestly thought it was the only good thing about me. Not playing the victim card here. But wanted to show that only being seen as beautiful is really bad for your mental health and sense of self. I feel super sad for her. And I hope she is able to get out of it one day.

I hope that someday she will be transparent about all of her plastic surgery. I’m sure it would be extremely difficult because so much of her success is based upon her being beautiful, but her look is not due to the rhinoplasty. Her entire face has been reconstructed. This made me cry IDK why 🥺(but in a good way...) It just feels so heartwarming and inspirational how she overcame all that and also didn't let the nose job and past actions and criticisms define her. I feel like I care too much about appearance whereas I need to care more about how I am internally because it's negatively affected my mental health so much. So I saw myself in her for that part. Although I have not gotten plastic surgery but I feel like I care about appearance more than I should and I guess a lot of women can relate. That's probably also why I got emotional. And Bella being this absolutely gorgeous girl, but feeling ugly and got a nose job at 14, just makes you see how messed up society is for making girls and women feel like they just have to be an empty shell that only looks nice. Brand can be a well crafted business, good products (not YOU, but your product!), quality work. Only if society doesn’t crucify and treat “ugly” pple bad or worse we could. It’s hard to love oneself like SpongeBob when everyone is highlighting your every flaw and action in everything you do.

I don't find Bella or much of what she does genuine. She has this perfectly curated image that might look real, but it's not. She's a beautiful lie and that sells.

How so? She’s stood up for human rights more than any other supermodel has and she’s been the most open about her plastic surgery on her nose job that she got done. If anything, she’s the MOST genuine person there is. 😂

@@AussieDoggie0812 I wasn't talking about her speaking on Palestine, that is genuine it comes from the heart. It's everything else, the "poor me no one loves" it's all for attention, and let's be honest she has done a lot more to her face than a nose job.

@luna9056 Okay, I think I get what you’re saying. But her mom literally picked favorites between her and Gigi, doesn’t that make you feel any emotion for her? Or any sympathy at least? It’s not easy when parents choose one child over the other and I honestly think Bella has a right to complain or just do the bare minimum thing and talk about it 😭 That’s not “attention seeking,” that’s coming out about the double standards of her childhood- and no one should go through that
