I was lucky enough to be there (with Mark Hartmann) in Ely Cathedral to hear this work live for the first time, and this was the only time I saw Bernstein conduct. A memorable occasion. John Dawson (Berlin).

This may be the best version of Mahler's Second I've ever heard. Watching Leonard's emotional reactions in the last 5 minutes of the last movement gives me chills every time.
