What a difference a few months make at the same scene...but I think each video has it's own charm...you really have a knack for picking just the right music and this one is a great example...the only thing missing was your wifey and doggie, hope they are doing well! Thank you for all your time and work you put in each video! 🙂

Haha thanks so much and yes I do get pretty particular about the music so I'm glad you think it fit well! Yeah just me this time unfortunately. You're too kind as always!

Always nice to see MOW is doing the right thing to keep the rails alive for us railfans. Hope one day to meet you in person when I visit family in the McMinnville at least once a year.

The vegetation indeed looks much better here than in the previous video. The track is definitely in better shape too. I'm sure this line is a favourite of the crews, because they goes through a lovely and peaceful area. No car traffic or other distractions, just beautiful nature all around. Very relaxing episode Dan, thanks for the cool flight.

Thank you Z! Yeah I like the cleaned up look of the rails a lot better here as well. I know the guy who runs the train through here and he enjoys it pretty good.

Thank you, Dan, for revisiting the Coos Bay Line along the Siuslaw River in June 2024. As we moved along the rails, I started to recognize locations that were in your previous video of this same line. Thank you for showing us what this line looks like in the spring and summer months. Thanks so much Thomas! Glad you could recognize locations between the two! It was fun to do this during different seasons.

@@TheRailfanDan In classic cab view videos, I often miss the ability to stop the train and pan the camera left and right (or even in circles) to show beautiful landscapes. But with your drone cab views, this is possible and you have done it occasionally. I would even like to see more of them.

Nice video once again. The track crew were working on the track between Mapleton and Cushman in early May, I drove past them. I suppose they worked on that section earlier.

When I was a kid I would watch the steam engines on this line, we even had passenger service tell 1958 or 9 the line would go all the way to Powers. Logging was the main stay Coos Bay was the lumber capital off the world till the tree huggers killed the wood industry and all those JOBS. I here the train whistle must be around 8:30 am hauling logs for Japan and wood chips to China. Paul

Wow that's amazing you got to witness steam power here! Yeah it definitely isn't what it used to be. Thanks for sharing Paul!

Nearly perfect segment splicing. I tried something like this but let it hover while I repositioned myself then edit out the pauses. I forgot to turn off auto-RTH but fortunately it did not activate. If you had a driver, you could fly the drone end to end without stopping or repositioning. Be sure to change the lost signal mode.

Thank you! I try to get the transitions pretty close. Yes you are correct about all of that!
