Curious about Electric Unicycles? The Electric Road Show is in Las Vegas visiting EUCO - The Electric Unicycle Collective - to see if we can learn how to ride one! Nick McCutcheon of EUCO shows some of these personal electric vehicles which might just replace your need for a car to get around town.
Thank you, EUCO!

The same thing happened to me. It took me a lot of work to learn but it's worth persevering!! Learning to ride a unicycle is very difficult for some people but I invite you to PERSEVER! It's one of the best things that has happened to me in my life. ES LIBERTAD!!!

Awesome job guys. I hope to see more EUC vids in the future. Love to watch your journey from beginning to moderate to pros on the EUC YT channels. Eventually, you go do EUC ride vids covering 20-30+ miles in a single vid. You got this. You can do it. Plus, love to see you guys upgrading EUC models as you get better & more confident in your ability.

Been riding for about a year (Nikola Plus) and I tend to tell people "It's harder than it looks, but it's easier than you think." when they ask me if it's difficult to ride.

at the start it's 70% fear that messes with you, and 30% just balance, i'm learning to ride, i can ride straight fine, as soon as there is an obstacle even 10 feet from me i just lose it and have to stop & relaunch🤣

You have balls to keep riding those after falling off, when I first started riding those I got frustrated pretty quick, I was practicing in a forest full of roots (maybe that's why it was so hard), but man you're crazy in a good way.

I wish there was a place to rent and practice EUC near me. I get my first wheel tomorrow and hopefully I can learn fast. I'm going to try and get a group of EUC riders or anyone who's interested together in a large parking lot this weekend. I'm not sure if anyone wants to come watch a newb learn but I'll see.

Not to take anything away from you learning it. I think you're actually learning it a lot faster than myself and most people. I want to leave this here for those who are also looking to get into EUC or have just started and just not getting it. Instead of going in a straight line and just trying to maintain balance and going faster and faster. You should actually slow down. I think 3-8mph is a really good speed for learning because it's fast enough for the gyro to keep you from falling but not too fast that it makes it intimidating to learn how to turn and correct yourself if you lose balance. As seen in the video, you just dump the wheel the moment you lose control of it, because you're going too fast for your skill level and it's intimidating to try to regain control and balance at that speed for you. The moment you turn left or right unintentionally, because you've lost your balance and the wheel just turns in a random direction, try to also turn into the direction that you are falling. Like riding a bicycle, if you're falling to the left, you turn the handlebar left to straighten out. Go at 3-8mph, try to practice turning, losing your balance, and straightening back out. Just keep practicing this and then once you get a feel for it, then you can speed up a bit more. I get that Eskate, EUC, and Ebikes even are all about speed, and that is fun, but while you're learning, you don't want to aim for speed. You want to have 100% control over any speed that you're riding at: 1mph, 5mph, 10mph, 30mph, 50mph etc. Work your way up so that no matter what, you know how to control your device.

One thing EUC needs to have is security alarm or lock or deactivated feature. Getting stolen a couples of time since these are pretty expensive.

The app usually has a "lock mode" which is pretty much transport mode. The moment it gets moved, it starts yelling. The issue is they're quite light (most of them), so it doesn't stop someone motivated. I just take them with me.

Huh....the inmotion should be pretty good for beginners. I hadnt noticed how these have those calf pads to help ease the discomfort when you mount at first. Airwheel X3 could have at least rounded that area instead of making it so boxy and painful.

Key problem of beginners is hands. Keep your hands on your chest. Every hand movement brakes balance.

wut? how fast is 50 gps? i did a little research and can't find anything that tells me what gps stands for as far as a rating for speed so i dont know how to translate that into mph or kph.
@brianmccann666
@brianmccann666 9 ай бұрын
GPS miles per hour. Global Positioning System. It more accurately gives miles per hour if you in a straight line traveling. If you swivel side to side riding, it's not accurate.
@jongallivan7164
@jongallivan7164 9 ай бұрын
@brianmccann666 Yes, I know what GPS stands for, but... how do you convert 30 GPS to MPH? Are you trying to say that GPS is literally just MPH, but they just decided on a dumb whim to label it GPS? "If you swivel side to side riding, it's not accurate" what? So on an electric unicycle they use GPS instead of MPH because it's more "accurate"?
@brianmccann666
@brianmccann666 9 ай бұрын
@@jongallivan7164 ... Phones & Aps tend to use mph or kmph (you select) and it uses GPS to determine your speed... Riding in a Straight Line . Start to Finish is how gps decides how fast you're going. If you Zig Zag'ing left & right like a snowboarder or roller skater the gps will not know. Your Actual Speed weaving back and forth you will actually be putting more distance on the wheel. You can turn a 1 mile distance by GPS standards into 1.3+ actual miles, meaning you was going Faster than the GPS app will detect you going. The Trip meter on you vehicle will read more distance traveled than the GPS app will detect. Hence, the GPS app will think you're travelling slower than you actually are if you Zig-Zag ride.
