wow this is my first youtube comment EVER moved by 1. the pleasant surprise of seeing something new and forward, and 2. the forgotten but sad truth that most often only extremists care as much to spend their valuable time and energy in being cynics of social evolution.. this is a very sensible AND archaic idea- think train cars.. i would much rather be accounted for on the vast stretch of the new york subway system than be left to fend for myself? its already the wild wild west.. -Meghann

More openness in 'Hi-Use' public spaces can be quite beneficial (even to those who don't particpate). Sure occasional con-or-nut-jobbery occurs (not like it doesn't allready). A culture of 'self-imposed silence' and 'rigid compartmentalization' doesn't really make the subways safer. It surprises me how much space people share without actually realizing it. All this human potenital for fun and improving things. It'll be a challenge to tap into this wellspring - due to its mercurial nature.

I'm studying Acupunture on 'Expert Village' and I need to practice my technique. I also need acupuncture data to help support my theories and research upon returning to Bovine College - when my suspension expires (or ceases to be renwed...) All acupuncture is free - and I will be wearing a teal arm-band and milk moustache.

That's a pretty cool idea. I'd like to see how it turns out.

Solomon - (or anybody else): You should take a peek at Jill Cunniff's 'Lazy Girls' video, or her 'Ladyfingers' vid from when she was back fronting Luscious Jackson. Both videos were filmed on public transport, and perhaps 'while staged' give a really nice picture of a 'subway utopia' of sorts. Frosted Cupcakes for all...

Perhaps we should allow passengers to send text messages to the transit authority about suspicious activity onboard trains.

the first thing he should say -before he does his speech on the train- is "I DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY!!!" people tend to think there is a catch if people start to ask them random things on the subway...

Hm... Curious.. Although I like the idea, I'm unsure about whether it'll work out.

Would these social networks be guardian angels or highwaymen? Public transit is not the best place for a gathering. We'd also have to be on guard against people being treated as captive audiences. Some might take offense.
