Also not all new yorkers have the same lango for an example if ask most new yorkers what are words like " ock " " brick " " bogy " " dub " " dayroom" " munch " or " treesha " they wouldn't know that's unless you ask young black and Latino new yorkers

I have one of those accents where I sound kinda normal but some times i sound Fukin weird. I’m from New York (mainly Connecticut but I grew up near New York City) and now I live in illinois, so a lot of people here aren’t used to a harsh accent and loud voices, goddamn pussies I tell ya

The teacher here is good at explaining the linguistics, but she made a mockery of New Yorkers here rather than really teaching anything.

Its funny, because in switzerland we "schmiered butter ufs brötli" means but butter on bread. So schmier comes from german over jiddish to new york. I guess in english its written "shmear" or so.

Oh, that's interesting and funny. (It's spelled "schmear" in English.)

It's like you're going to be in a fight. There is no fight. If you don't learn to smooth it out in the southwestern part of the country without knowing it you could shock somebody. Not trying to create an issue. Originally from the Bronx.
