What's your reason for moving?
@lose79343 жыл бұрын
@@SocialConfidenceMastery this is gonna be LONG, but everything really, but mostly for opportunity. the main reason is, maryland has a huge drug/opioid crisis that’s only getting worse and my entire immediate family are statistic in it. in california, if you want to do drugs, you live in a tent. so there won’t be any confusion of seeing construction workers who are clearly addicts making 25$ an hour. i’ve been stolen from so much in my home state from people i didn’t think succumbed to the drugs. i don’t know if it’s my family or the drugs, but theyre notorious for talking down my goals and they very obviously want me to be as miserable as they are. we originally decided to stay here in MD and hunker down for awhile during the pandemic to save money. after the year we’ve spent together around my family, i’ve come to the painful realization that i just have to go out on my own if i want to succeed. if i stayed around here, they’d eventually convince me i wasn’t enough and i’d be one of them. my fiancé moved across the country to be with me and they can’t even act like they respect him for it. they’re so racist towards him but gaslight the hell out of us when we address it. then the next day they try to act like nothing happened, but assume he can fix ____ for them just because he’s asian, after they drunkenly mocked his race and language. asked him if he was sure he’s asian because he’s “too dark” and “looks like a mexican” ….(he’s filipino) just all kinds of stupid shit he doesn’t deserve to be around. one night my fiancé absolutely blew up on them because they were doing this in the midst of asian hate crimes and he refuses to interact with them, which i understand. but now they speak to me like he’s crazy, which is absolutely not true. i’m ready for better days ahead. we got an RV and plan to live in there while traveling after we finish our gen ed classes. it’s been both of our dreams to pursue higher education but we never had the supportive family to do it. we’re 20 and 22, but everybody’s gotta start somewhere. i plan to get my bachelors in psychology online after gen ed in community college and become a drug counselor, to help people who actually want it. i will make some kind of meaning out of my life with the cards ive been dealt.

@@SocialConfidenceMastery diffrent language ,different culture ,people from north don't learn local language of south ,and people from South hate people who don't try to learn Thier language and don't learn Hindi (second or native language for most of the people from north ),northern people have entitlement ,so it's become more like racism ,but south has better infrasture and it's easy to make friends if you speak local language

@SocialConfidenceMastery3 жыл бұрын
I recommend 2 things: leverage social media to make new connections and also make an effort to keep in touch with your existing network.
@SocialConfidenceMastery3 жыл бұрын
As far as topics go, it really depends on the person you're trying to connect with. Ideally, bring something up that both of you will be able to relate to.

Thank you, this will be helpful to me. I would like to add a little critique, though. This video seems as though you're rushing through your words and having to inhale and speak quickly, and i think it would help the video if you allowed yourself more patience so that you could speak more calmly. Otherwise, great video and thank you for the tips!
