Dear Universe: everybody should talk about sex with their partners. Our topics of choice this week include duration, frequency, virginity, shame, and what "counts" as sex for queer couples. We know this title makes it sound like a college course, but it's one we totally would have enrolled in.
Fun fact: We had to edit this down from 40 minutes of film😯

Oh my god your message really helped me figuring everything out 💛 The idea that most women seek men approval is so true ! I’ve realised a few weeks ago that I’ve never been « physically » attracted to any man, and I always thought it was due to my personality (I though I was attracted to their personality more than their physical apparence) And now that I allow myself to see girls and women around me, I realise that I am attracted to them, and that I definitely have a « type » But when you’ve spent your life understanding society’s standards, it’s hard to go your own way and loose what was easy (or had become easy)

Thanks for this video! Everything you said was spot on! After being in a long term relationship with a man, I have recently come out. I have just started seeing this amazing woman. Sex with her is so much different and we talk about everything too. (Which never happened with ex 🙄) intimacy is so much better when you both are on the same page and are open and honest about what you want/don’t want. I am understanding myself so much better as well through all of this too. Keep inspiring ladies!

You never fail to entertain and educate at the same time. It's only in recent years that I've strived to be rid myself of the years of cultural and religious hang ups about sex indoctrinated from childhood. They are damaging and unhealthy in a consenting adult sexual relationship.

Great video. In German you say that you cut into a wasp's nest. Sex and sexuality are indeed a very hetero-normative thing as you rightly said so. A big problem is the term "losing your virginity". Why do you have to lose something? Why can't you just say "having the first time sex"?. Losing virginity is always connected to penetration. If a woman never experienced penetration, does she remain a virgin? Then the question always remains what is considered to be sex? If no penetration involved, is it still sex? Sex is something different for everyone and you have to also upon this question with your partner.

I love the start of this video and it just got better as it went along, wow so true it’s like myth’s of sex for men and women. I think it’s all about communication and working it out, and shame shouldn’t even be there. I learnt a lot today and laughed a lot too again you said sex is personal to everyone. Thank you so much for this video.

Thank you SO much for specifically mentioning fat and disabled womxn!! It's so rare to hear such a nuanced, deep, inclusive discussion of sex, let alone one that acknowledges fat and disabled people's existence (acknowledges that we have desires, and how social norms of "desirability" typically marginalise, desexualise and dehumanise us). It just made me feel so damn seen in my wholeness (which I never ever expect because it happens so rarely - so it took me aback in a wonderful way). Love you both! Thank you for putting this out into the world 💕

Another powerful video - thank you so much. As a middle-aged bi guy, I kinda envy you in the blank slate you have when it comes to exploring what works best for you. My wife is from a very traditional country and she finds it very hard to talk about alternative intimacies and how they might work better for us. I keep trying keep getting rebuffed. As someone who suffers from anxiety, that is hard to take.

As the great late George Michael sang "It's natural It's chemical (let's do it) It's logical Habitual (can we do it?) It's sensual But most of all Sex is something that we should do Sex is something for me and you Sex is natural, sex is good Not everybody does it But everybody should Sex is natural, sex is fun Sex is best when it's, one on one One on one" I have so many thoughts on the topic being a cisgender heterosexual disabled male, but I'll have to rewatch to put them in order.

In regard to your discussion on males thinking of sex more, and the message is that they want it, but females don't when you said that, I immediately thought that jea... that lends itself to rape... as sort of an internalised justification (with lack of better wording) for men to "know" that they want/need it more, and if the woman does not want to give it, they can still take it. Somehow. Sickening to think of how extremely deep this all lies. love the videos! much love from Iceland.

Once again, you two have hit a home run! You’ve covered so much in such a relatively short amount of time. I think there’s so much more that could be discussed around “religion and sex”... especially how the patriarchal church has essentially bullied women into “behaving” or, “staying in their place”, for centuries. The psychological damage, dysfunction, trauma, etc., etc., is beyond HUGE when explored even a TINY bit!! I have a book club suggestion: KNOW MY NAME, by Chanel Miller. PLEASE consider this book! Also, HOW do I “join” your book club? I’ve looked for it but can’t find it!! 😂😂😂 Be patient with me..I’m trying!! 😂😂. I LOVE you two‼️‼️❤️🌈

I feel like there is still a lot of shame in our society associated with solo sex for both men and women. As if masturbation doesn't fully "count" as sex or it's only for single people. I believe if we encouraged everyone to know themselves and their own bodies first and foremost, our perceptions around sexuality would improve greatly.

Saludos!

I agree with everything you said in this video, we need to talk about that subject more. At catechism in christian religion (been baptised and made my communion) they taught us that homosexuality is a sin and it's forbidden to have same sex relatioships or even think of it. When i was a student sex ed wasn't in school programs, the only way i've learn about sex was from traumatic experiences and in school (around 12 or 13 years old ) with classmates and later with coworkers. I've been told from a very young age that sex wasn't exclusively between a man and a woman, masturbation was not taboo and good for you physically and mentally.

courageous and educational, several little things spring to mind, a lot of male attraction is based on subconscious shit, 'most attractive' seems to relate to who is fittest to bring babies into the world, making a lot of my fellow men neanderthals, another thing is the difference between making love and having sex, some of the conversations I hear, or worse get drawn into in my work, leave me knowing that Lesbianism is not a choice, coz if it was, about 99% of women these days would choose it, then there is this ridiculous idea that men are heros for bedding as many women as possible, where as a woman with any amount of 'history' are socially outcasts, I can never understand that one....even supply/demand makes that impossible. Anyway enough of this meandering, love you two's honesty, stay safe...

Well shucks. I had a really relevant joke to go here, but, considering the seriousness of the other commenters, I don't believe it would go over well. So I'll just keep it to myself (for now) - which, when I think about it, seems quite antithetical to your call for open and honest discussions about sex. And that reminds me, I've yet to hear you mention anything about the role humor should/should not play during sex - perhaps you will entertain (pun intended) the topic for a future video. Loved this video, btw. Keep up the good work!❤️ P.S. Please work on your overuse of the word, "like" - it drives me bonkers! 😵😜🤪

ok this isn’t relevant to this video but i’m very confused about my sexuality and i have no where else to go. i’m 14 and a girl and my whole life i have identified as straight. for the past couple years i have once in awhile thought am i gay but then just move on but for the last few months i’ve been non stop thinking about it and it’s driving me crazy. i think i’m either bisexual or lesbian but idk how to figure out which one. i also don’t know how to determine if this is just something i’m forcing on myself because i’m a germaphobe or something or if i’m just making it up for whatever reason. anyway so i’m romantically attracted to both boys and girls but sexually attracted to only girls, i’m really confused because idk if that means i’m bi because i still have romantic feelings for boys or if it means i’m lesbian because only having romantic feelings for guys is closer to a friendship. i’ve dated guys before but they all felt more like friendships and i’ve had a couple crushes on girls but i’ve never kissed anyone or done anything intimate so it’s hard to tell. i don’t have anyone to talk to about this and i know i should give it time and maybe experiment but i’m the kind of person who needs labels and definition on everything in my life. Can you guys please help me out.

Hi! So first things first: welcome! Hannah here: You’re so not alone in this. These are the kinds of questions I still think about for myself all the time. As for what you’re describing- I recently learned that we can have different orientations for romantic attraction and sexual attraction, and it’s totally okay! So if the labels “homosexual” and “biromantic” feel okay to you, then great! It could be that you fall somewhere on the bisexual spectrum (it’s very very broad), and it’s okay if that changes as you think about it more. Regardless- hang in there. These are really big, really complicated questions and you’re awesome for trying to figure it out and be honest with yourself!
