Can you Beat Terraria with INFINITE Enemy Spawn Rate? Today we attempt one of our most insane Terraria challenges yet! A playthrough in which every death will result in the enemy spawn rate and max enemy cap been doubled... forever... until numbers get out of hand! Yep! As you'd expect things get pretty crazy today, and with the threat of max spawns looming from the start, its essential that we play as careful as possible (haha yeah no) Enjoy!

​@kubaGR8 After certain number of deaths, dying in either mediumcore or hardcore is a run ender. So I will say mediumcore is easier in the early game and after that it doesn't matter.

Dungeon chest loot generates in order where the first chest is a muramasa (unless the first chest is generated is a wooden chest) and the second one generates with a cobalt shield. So unless the dungeon branches off before the second chest you can always consistently find the shield.

This feels like the last sort of challenge I'd go ranged on! Definitely one for the night's edge to terra blade progression, would've made everything much easier with the practically built in bubble of damage those swords give you.

As someone who basically permanently plays vanilla terraria in journey mode master difficulty and 10x spawns this video very much checks out. Once u get a good gun hard mode underground becomes pretty funny. Starcannon is lowkey decent to clear mobs too with infinite pierce

Here's a challenge idea: Terraria but every time you die, your dps is halved (Would be nice to have a dps meter included to see change over time) Bonus: Every time you die, there is a 50% chance that mob spawns increase (from 1x to 2x to 3x etc) (Imagine that with mediumcore) If you don't like that one, here's another: Terraria but everytime you die, the world shrinks exponentially)

I think something like a gun-game challenge might be interesting, I.E, you have full access to the game's weapon catalog, but you can only use each one once, and if you die or kill any entity with it, (Yes, including critters) you need to dispose of the one that was currently in use.

Bosses don't reduce the spawn rate, per se, they instead occupy a ridiculous a large number of slots in the enemy spawn quota. Usually you can only have like 15 enemies or so spawned in at a time, and I think bosses count as 20 enemies, meaning that only enemies that were spawned before the boss can stick around unless you're under some effect which raises the spawn cap. And even if you have raised the spawn cap, the boss being around will still keep those 20 enemy slots occupied, so if you have, say, 32 enemy slots you won't see more than 12 of them. Don't know if I got the numbers right, don't quote me on those.

So. The weird thing is, personally in my playthrough with 300x, the mobs seemed to nearly completely stop spawning during boss fights and barely spawn when I had 3+ npc's plus peace candle, and that's 300x, not sure why you were getting so many with 64x. Also, "spawn cap" multiplier seems very...baity. Mobs never exceeded 200, so the big number was there just to be there, didn't really serve any purpose. Doesn't take anything away, just a cheeky moment I'd say
