If anyone from NYT cooking is reading the comments, here's some feedback: The audio quality needs to be much much better. People tune in to shows like this to hear the cook/chef talk and to listen to the satisfying sounds of sizzling, chopping, frying, etc. You need to give them better audio equipment!! Your recruitment is diverse and amazing but your production is not doing them any justice. The quality of the videos are inconsistent even within your own channel. Some videos do a wonderful job with their audio quality, others sound like they were recorded with a cell phone and have a lot of distracting background noise.

@@Chard81 And the video while they're at it. I'm happy that the on-camera people are getting paid, but it feels like they're cutting corners with the post-production team. Either the deadlines are too strict, they're understaffed, or the staff just can't be bothered to do their job properly. I'd really love to see them improve. (Also, if NYT cooking reads this, I do need a 6 month internship in about half a year and I'll gladly offer up my services.)

Congrats to Sohla! So glad she's cooking on camera again. She's so charming, fun, and talented. Agreed with other commenters about the audio. While the overall sound didn't bother me, I had to turn the volume way up on my headphones to hear, which meant that the sound from the ad break blasted my ears.
