SNCF French Railways-Vintage BB 67000 Class Diesel Locomotive Hauled Trains at Granville

I did this line from Paris Montparnasse as far as Villedieu-les-Poeles. If I went as far as Granville, you missed a different pair heading back. For me, I preferred the thought of 4 locos, rather than the extra track to Granville. There had been a bomb that went off at Montparnasse when I was walking from the metro. Everyone hit the deck, then stampeded ! It was a day trip from London. I had caught my usual 21.00 off Charing Cross to do the 02.00 sailing from Dover, and the 05.25 Calais Ville to Paris Nord, arriving at 08.44 (earlier than any Eurostar) but caught the Eurostar home. I like the 'blue uns' (BB67300 and BB67400) but I preferred the CC72000s ! The Corail coaches are very comfortable as the name suggests, Comfort Rail (Corail). Pairs of Blue Uns produced 4,800 hp.
