Fantastic idea. I’d like to have the option of four separate copper bus bars, two for each side.
@CurrentConnected9 ай бұрын
@@ramsaybolton9099 at this point we just recommend 2/0 jumpers between. 4 pair per side

@@CurrentConnected I'd like to have bus bars on both sides so I can feed two separate inverters. (pair of independent Sol-Ark)

I like how it's white, great for sunny environments

Yep, the color actually played a pretty big part in our calculations for the A/C's.

Can you show off the heat pump units that it’s designed for?
@styledliving8 ай бұрын
i really can't imagine any heat pump mounted on that door, it doesn't seem like those doors can handle a 50lbs unit. i feel like it'd be better to just run ducting at the bottom and at the top so the flow can go diagonally.

I'm very interested in seeing the compatible AC unit. I'm in AZ (higher elevation, but still 100 in the summer) with a southern exposure.

Is there a way to bolt this to a concrete pad for security purposes?
@CurrentConnected9 ай бұрын
You could add some "L" brackets like you would use for Unistrut and bolt to the ground and the base of the cabinet.

would love to see yall do a "Mock Setup" with this for sure

Hey @CurrentConnected Appreciate your innovative inclusion of so many quality of life features. From the choice about the forklift slots to knockouts for the heating/cooling. Nice job.

Brass? I know each alloy can vary in conductivity but is that bar thick enough to handle the current output for 12 batteries?
@CurrentConnected9 ай бұрын
No, not the full 1200 amps. But if you have multiple inverters to reach currents this high you wouldn’t use the bus bar, rather, break down the batteries into groups of three and use parallel home runs to reach the inverters.

I like the flexibility of this design. While it's SOK branded, it allows you to really use whatever components you want inside while keeping all your batteries and gear safe from the elements. Plus it simplifies the need for an outdoor enclosure. No more having to build a "power shed" as you can fit all your gear in a single place. Great idea! Just have to figure out a way to hinge some solar panels off the enclosure for a truly all-in-one power house! 😁. Great for homestead startups or job sites! Have you been able to source the heaters/air conditioners for this cabinet?

Cool! Brass can be fine as long as large enough cross section. Also many brass product have 30% zinc in them, further increasing resistivity. All still fine as long as taken into account.
@TheOsborns-v5x5 ай бұрын
For version 2, you need to reinforce one side so that if you want to hang an inverter, you can without worrying about the weight.

Brass busbar? Why not a pure copper one for so much better conductivity? The brass is cheaper yes but also much worse.

That's a nice cabinet.. But for the price im sorry but those hinges look like Chinese kidds welded it . that's way off from the build quality of ur batteries. Just saying. Keep it up brother

For the price it's free if you buy the batteries to fill it...that's a pretty sweet deal!
