The peak of the darkness reminds me of the long stretches of really dark, gloomy days we get in January. It's rather mind blowing to think that where I was in Burlington inside the totality path, it was full on night dark, not just gloomy January day dark- even with the weather there being Sunny at the time in Burlington. It's mind boggling to think how day and night can be such a short distance apart during an eclipse seeing how different it was in Toronto vs. Burlington.
