Hi mate good video. I bought the same inverter as you in the video. When I plug my my laptop charger or phone charger with the 3 pin plug it makes a continuous beeping sound. Even when I use my van battery or my leisure battery

Because you are not using a pure sine wave inverter

Nice informative video. Though I have some remarks about the fuses/circuit breakers. 1: This type of circuit breakers are rubbisch! Better to use proper (ANL/AFL) fuses and switches. 2: Fuses should be located as close as possible to the power source (never more than 8 inches/20cm.But a battery terminal mounted MRBF fuse is the best and safest). Mounting your circuit breakers so close to the charge controller is of little use. Choose fuse amperage to be 1.25 times the max expected load and max cable current (the lowest of these two.).

Can you tell me the watt on the inverter. Bought one just like it and will be setting It up. Tested with battery and it ran my refrigerator. Just odered 2 160 panels. Mine is from China looks just like yours. It says 16000 watt But reading these inverters they only produce have the watts. Great video. The only thing i think I am going to do is run my panels in serious. But us the same set up and have a fuse on the negative side of the panel. That's what I am seeing in most videos.
@EL-iu2tp2 жыл бұрын
Sir on your solar panel fuse protector. You run it before your Charge controller. This protects the solar panels from burning up from the sunlight. If there may be a problem with you solar panel charge controller. There under $5 to buy. You have to look at the voltage of the solar panels you are using and get a fuse protector that is a few volts hirer than the volts on your solar panel. This is should be Dime Amy way you run you solar panels. To the negative wire. Just mount it to your soalr board before you put in the charge controller. It can be looked up on KZbin. It is a must and can save you alot of money.

A “portable power station” might be best for you. You can also use the car to 12v socket to change it while travelling and you can also get solar panels for it. If you Are planning on fitting solar panels to your roof you can use the setup I have in my part 3 or 4 video, you can alway add more battery’s that way

Are breakers same as fuses,?
@PwinkleR2 жыл бұрын
There different. My understanding is a breaker just trips the switch (which you can reset) a fuses will break but you can’t reset it (you’ll need a new fuse)

Nice, straightforward intro! Looks like you're outside lights are DC, running off a wall-wart PSU. If they're 12v, you can wire them straight into the battery, rather than invert up to 230v AC and then stepdown to LV DC. Save a little inefficiency.

@@PwinkleRHiya mate. Is it possible to add more batteries in parallel?
Hi pwinkle. I uses custom made copper wire. 2.5mm copper wires for better power delivery. I dont trust wires provided by the solar seller. It is so thin. Every connecrion i triple the wires, from controller to battery and solar input. All the wires goes to bus bar. Each input and output has bus bar.
@Djhoodrich.2 жыл бұрын
Don't use the inline fuse holders you have does not work well with Victron controller is giving you inaccurate fluctuation it's because of your breaker i had that same problem change your breaker to better ones

Thanks for the information, what breaker do you recommend?
@sercansimsek1451Ай бұрын
It looks nice, but the PWM charge controller costs you 30% energy and shortens the lifespan of your batteries by 40%. If you have an Mppt charge controller, your system will work healthy and efficiently.
