Ecoflow is one of the best companies in this business, and I'd trust them to do good refurbish work and testing. For the size and type of panel it's performing well. Wanting to do solar here but living among so many trees causes shading for about half the day no matter where I can set up, so it's at the bottom of the bucket list unless I can convince the property owner to let me set up on their side of the fence.

Yes and so far I've been really happy with the product. That's the only problem with solar to many variables like that or clouds and in that case having a good spot to be able to put them. To bad wind turbines aren't at a simple cost effective and reliable level yet otherwise I'd say that would be an alternative.

@@StriveSurvive I've got a set of plans from the 90's for a 400W DIY wind turbine. That was pretty good power back then but I'm sure much better is out there now. There's really not one single solution for everybody but until the new tariffs kick in solar gives you more bang-for-the-buck. I'm waiting to see what happens with prices once the current inventory is gone; it won't be good news but a question of how bad instead. I'm all for helping the US economy but TBH what most people need right now is cheap solar and more of it. I'm determined to go off-grid eventually but on my budget that will be a long time coming.

That seems like a decent amount of power, I'd like to build my own wind turbine. I do agree that solar should be a more common and viable option.

Can you run your a/c unit off of those battery banks with or without the solar charger
@StriveSurvive10 күн бұрын
Yeah the battery will run for about 2 or 3 hours on its own depending on how many times the a/c compressor cycles off. Again insulation would probably help in keeping the ac compressor off longer. The ac unit runs about 450 watts

And man you can never trust what a "product" says maybe in super great conditions someones brothers uncles neighbor may have said oh it did what it said and more 😂😂
@StriveSurvive10 күн бұрын
Oh yeah especially with some knock offs claiming higher number for a cheap panel!
