Also, its in the units app, otherwise it would be nice to show people it will run not only 100% Solar as you did, but that it will BLEND POWER when its very cloudy - may draw 300W DC, and 300W AC. Then, as you said switches over to 100% AC power at night. I see A LOT of comments that people are not clear on this 🤔

Hey Taddy, I have a 3-zone mini split system that was installed in my barndo in 2020 (new construction). From the heat pump, the line sets run into the shop area of my barn up to the mezzanine level (which is the living quarters). 2 air handlers are upstairs and 1 air handler is downstairs in the mudroom. The shop area of the barn is insulated with spray foam but it’s not climate controlled. It’s been very humid in central TX as of late and the summer heat has arrived. Lately I’ve been noticing that the line sets in the shop area have been perspiring/dripping even though they’ve been wrapped in K-flex. There’s also a galvanized cover screwed to the exterior wall of the mezzanine that covers/protects the line sets, electrical and drain lines. My HVAC installer told me that the heat and humidity are the cause of line sets perspiring like they are. I asked what can be done to prevent this and the only thing he can think of is to spray closed cell foam insulation inside the line set covers (section by section) to essentially envelope everything inside the line set cover. I wanted to see if I can get your opinion on this. Thanks.

Insulating would probably take care of the problem, but is the insulation not sufficient in thickness. And that's why it's sweating, just curious P

@@TaddyDigest It's tough to tell if the insulation is not sufficient in thickness. What I have noticed however is that when the air in the shop area of the barn is warm and humid the line sets tend to sweat more. When it's warm and dry, not as much. I did notice that some areas of insulation has gotten a bit compressed because the installer tied the line sets together with the drain lines (probably so everything would fit underneath the galvanized covers). I also need to check the ends of the line sets to see if any of the copper is exposed in addition to checking to see if any of the K-flex is not sealed tightly at the ends. That could be one of the ways outside air is reaching the copper to create the sweating.

Taddy, I installed my eg4 solar mini split and works great, only thing is even with very bright sun it still runs on ac and dc. I have 3 430w panels. I checked the panels and they are putting out the correct volts and watts. Can you explain if that is the way this system works?
