Don't get more batteries, turn your lights to 12v, you could also get a 12v heating element on a timer to warn water, im building a 12v system for my coop, it will run 12v lights, 12v fan, 12v pumping system for automatic self watering rain harvesting system, I will have a inverter just for emergency AC power, I'm building a sustainable hurricane proof chicken bunker, it's a monster.
