I have the same V8 model and get an average of 19.9 MPG. It is surprisingly good and feels somewhat athletic to drive.

Here in 2024. Just bought an '08 V8 Sport, gets about 16 around town, 21-ish on my commute to work & back (25 miles each way, mostly freeway). It has 224k miles on it, still drives great!

I own a 2006 V8 and love it. Sometimes I wish it was an Ocean Race or R-Design post facelift. However I bought mine because it has been in the family. Never tried any of the turbo 5 or turbo 6 models. However I can tell you the V8 suits the vehicle well.

I'm getting a solid 16.8mpg city with mine before a good tuneup, I'd like to see 18 but that might be wishful thinking (I am getting better mpg than my 3.2 I must say! ..if you're not on it)

Regular maintenance and it will go long miles. I have a 2007 it shifts and drives smoothly. Has 140,000 miles on dash.

I looked at buying one of these recently. Terrible build quality, leather quality and equipment levels. They do not seem to age well and the interior just falls to bits. I bought a Lexus RX instead which much better quality.

Toyota build quality isn't so great either. Yes there engines and transmissions are solid but everything else fall apart too. There leather quality isn't any better than the Volvo and they tend to get lots of rattles as they age. I owned a 03 4runner that was very reliable but the interior didnt age well and the rattles were awful....

@@v60polestar88 I've seen numerous Lexus and XC90 leather interiors and the latter does not hold up well even when looking at like for like mileage, clearly the Lexus interiors are more durable. But where it matters most- engines and transmissions is key.

I have three of these and mine has 222,000 and the SUV is holding up extremely well. Most people don’t believe me when I tell them the age and they can see how well it is holding up. Now it didn’t do it on it’s own, I had a hand in that. Take care of them and they will take care of you. Another bit of help I live in North Carolina and the weather is easy on a vehicle.
