So glad to see you both. That door has to go between kitchen and bedroom. You can't use that wall cuz door blocks it. That wall could be for a tall storage cabinet for kitchen items. Have you considered doing a 24' instead of 20'. That would make a big difference. Thank you for the video. Happy to see you Randy and Amanda!

I'd have them omit the swing door and I'd install a bifold barn door there. It's about a 36" opening, and the bifold barn doors only need 2" on each side of the opening for the door to fold open. That would still leave about 34-36" of wall to build a cabinet or add shelves.

The wood is beautiful! I love this cottage, this one is gorgeous with the shiplap. I have the panel cottage. I’m using the kitchen as living and kitchen, and bedroom as is. It was easy to place what I wanted in my cottage, except somewhere to eat, because I did not want to hang my TV on the wall… neck issues….so my TV stand will become my little table to eat at, I’m going to add a drop leaf and just raise it up when I need it. I absolutely LOVE💕my incred-I-cottage!!!! The panel’s are easy to work with, I chose to paint mine and it painted beautifully. Can’t thank Randy and Amanda enough for my pretty (tiny) home😁thanks guys🥰.

Sounds Heavenly! What kind of chairs are you using in your kitchen/living space? I have considered a TV that mounts on the wall above the kitchen window/sink, that pulls down to watch and swings up out of the way when off.

@@susanbeals7597so I found a small couch, I mean tiny… I placed it under the window with an end table to it’s left, then the wall that the barn door opens onto I placed a 30 inch solidly built storage cubby… my tv will sit on that, remembering space is essential I bought to small white chairs that can be indoor/outdoor, so… I will utilize them for porch sitting and when I eat indoors bring them in, they are very light weight. I still have all my kitchen space so I’m repurposing a book case that is 27”L 30”H 13”D adding a drop leaf and casters homing it if your facing kitchen sink, in front of that drawer and cupboard, so just pushing it down the counter when I need in there, that becomes my table, move it out, open drop leaf, bring chair/s into eat……it does not look crowded or messy….

They make those closet rods that can be pulled down for easy access. I'd get 2 of those, 1 for up high in the closet, and 1 above the combo W/D, and even with a dresser below in the closet, there will still be room for a nice 4' wide shelf for folded clothes & linens. A shelf above the W/D for laundry supplies & extra TP.

Love this. I would reverse the door so it opens into the bedroom against the washer area so it does not take valuable space from the kitchen. Also, have the barn door slide to the right, so you can put a small chest on the wall behind the shower

Is it a couple inches narrower inside, with the wood framing instead of steel panels? Great home for a person with limited mobility. Put 2 wing back chairs in the front room with a small table between them, and a sofa w/chaise that makes into a bed on the long side wall in the back room, so you can enjoy the view and watch TV. That and a small dresser inside the closet is all the furniture I'd need!

A couple more changes that could be considered would be: #1. have a sliding door in kitchen that slides behind refrigerator, leaving wall space for furniture or tv. #2. Have bathroom sliding door that slides to the right, leaving room for twin bed to be placed in front of bay window. #3. Have space between kitchen window and hood vent. The open space under counter at window could have a Randy Rack. I love the outside shaTV. Glad to see you and Randy on video again. I enjoy the short informational videos, but in addition to the tiny houses, we love ya'll.

I don't have a tiny home, but I do have a tiny camper, and I have discovered that I am more comfortable on the 25"x78" bed in my camper than in the king size bed of home. My sister camped with me for four nights recently, and she was perfectly comfortable with a bed that size as well. We are both on the petite side, but a twin day bed would be more than enough space.

When you’re 5’8 1/2” & Wonder Hubbie is 6’, small beds don’t work. We end up kneeing & elbowing each other when it’s a small bed. We have longer arms & legs than shorter people. If you bend an arm or leg in your sleep when in small width beds- you smack into each other☹️

Love to see this in a 10x3O or 12x24. I don’t think I can do only 200 Sq ft. Cost more I know but also more livable and maybe could have a slightly bigger bathroom with a tub and a separate little bedroom. Every cottage should have room for a proper stand alone farm style tub imo even if it’s a short one. Lol. Or a little separate bedroom or just a larger combo living/den/bedroom with a slightly larger bathroom (with a tub).

Your ladies decorated the first cottage and placed a shelf/cabinet in the front room. So now, with the "regular door" there is another wall that can't have furniture. Amanda said a table can go in the front corner.....I would want to be able to open the front door and have a screen door, so her idea makes no sense to me. Thats a big space up front just to eat dinner...that now forces the back room to be living/bedroom. You keep taking away WALL SPACE, do you think people don't need furniture???? Could you put a pocket door in both door openings?

This model is beautiful made of wood! It adds so much character to the home! I like the bathroom door placement. If you added an add a cottage and used the washer/dryer closet as a door/pass through, wouldn't you lose the closet space in the add a cottage? Instead, I would prefer to eliminate the bathroom and put the door where the bedroom window on the side is, on the add a cottage. I could then use the washer/dryer closet for extra storage. The bedroom would become a larger master bedroom and the add a cottage bedroom could be used as a multi function room bedroom/office. There would be no kitchen in the add a cottage, so there is where the living room would be and of course the washer dryer is in the add a cottage also. Y'all have such beautiful models at affordable prices. There is no comparison to your designs! Keep up the great Incredible job Y'all are doing!

With that barn door there, you can't have a dresser with TV over it there, which would be perfect with a single daybed across from it. You keep changing things. Be better off with real door on bathroom entrance. Keep it closed all the time. Barn doors let smells and noise out anyway. Not efficient at all. And you would have more valuable wall space. Also electric panel in that lovely front room, really is an unsightly distraction. Your lot buy-in price is ridiculous. Every time someone moves to a lot, they have that huge buy-in. Better to pay higher rent than pay that key money. Crazy. What person who can't afford regular housing can afford that? I always liked your vision, but it's far from affordable, it is out of control now. Sad. With that said, the wood is really nice. Nice build by the Amish. Rethink the electric panel. And please rethink your lot buy-in price. It's unethical for people to pay for your land development/ finishing your Mountain and other developments.

@@Stacey721 - Many of us are selling a home to move to ITH. That money from our home sale pays for the tiny home and lot fee, so that we can live with $200-$300/month rent payments. Don't fool yourself. Every developer makes you pay for development and maintenance costs. The others just get that money from you by charging much more in lot rent, and you pay those higher payments forever. Randy's way actually saves us money over 5 years or more, and every year after that is additional savings. It's designed for long term living, so if you aren't sure you'll want to live there long term, then No... go stay at a development that charges more every month. After doing the math, I'll be going to ITH. You do you.
@Stacey721

@@susanbeals7597I understand how it works. Been following a long time, and I disagree. The key money has increased significantly. You (or your loved ones) stand to lose a lot of money should your health goes south, you have to move, you die. Also it was always touted as low cost housing, not people with a ton of equity. I will do me. But wish you don't feel the need to jump on everybody who has a different opinion than you. There are intelligent people who think differently than you. We don't need to be schooled by you all the time.

If you buy property to put one and you do not do off grid then you have to put in infrastructures and it cost a small fortune. Randy and Amanda are giving the best prices they can to help those who might not ever be able to own a home, and let’s face it, at the rate this country’s economy is going without individuals like Randy and Amanda it wouldn’t be possible….So with a sweet little home and a much coveted lot to put it, the asking price is not as expensive as buying your home, buying your property, then paying for power water, and electric to be done, this price is so much cheaper!!! I also agree that the door between the two rooms needs removed But j also would get rid of the barn door to have both walls open. I would use a curtain so when I use that bathroom I just pull the curtain across but still get heat or air into the room

Day bed and futon’s both do the same thing and the window seat woul have a furniture cushion with three large decoration pillows that definitely is your bedroom/ living Room and your light on front porch would be better to have no industrial furniture but a more lantern look because that makes that much better look 😊😊

lighting is usually the most economic we can find to keep pricing down but some customers choose to change them out once they receive their home. Everyone has such different taste in accessories

I love the cottage, however this one with the bathroom moved all the way back doesnt leave enough badly needed room for the bed. The door to the bedroom has to go as well. I wouldnt like to lose that kitchen wall where a cab could go.

I have always wondered why the front door opens in instead of out. Most tiny homes from other manufacturers use outswing front doors to increase the living space within the tiny house. The way it opens now negates most of the living area in the front of the house. I would also do away with the door to the bedroom which also takes away from the living area in the front. I would use a pocket door into the bathroom so that the wall area in the bedroom is more usable. These are very small changes which would increase the usability of the living space within the home. Every square inch should be usable instead of being taken up by doors.

About the only thing I would change is the door leading to the back room; I would definitely make that a pocket door. I also wonder if there's a possibility of making a whole, separate, modular 'laundry/utility room unit', that could roll up and attach to that right side of the cottage, and be accessed thru a door where that current washer/dryer area is now. That way, it wouldn't interfere with the width of the current cottage for transport, but would be an alternative to adding on a whole extra add-a-cottage, when possibly all the buyer was needing was a utility area for laundry and extra storage for brooms, mops, vacuum, etc. (I don't see anyplace to put yhose essentials in the present Incred-i-cottage.) Great looking wood cottage, though!

with a simple breezeway you could easily use the existing w/d location for a doorway and connect to a utility shed or anything else you wanted to connect to if you have your own land

Randy please consider making the front porch 8 foot instead of 4 feet deep. This would give owners the ability it enclose it in the future to have an 8 X 10 living space. This would create a complete house with that added square footage.

this could be an upgrade for a customer who wants it but 4' keeps the price affordable for those who can't pay for upgrades

@@IncredibleTinyHomes Perhaps that could be an upgrade option. While the bay window is beautiful I'd much rather spend that money on future convertible square footage.
