Been restoring a 2009 JD walk-behind. The effort includes some paint & decals. Thus, I know more about JD than I ever thought I would need to know. That blower was made somewhere between 1968 & 2000, based on the style of the "landing deer" decal. In 2000, the co. revised the logo to the current "leaping deer" version. So, your buyer is getting a classic for sure!

Awesome video Mr Bruce. One thing for sure on those Tecumseh Snow King engines is when you got that carb dialed in just right, they they purr like a kitten with plenty of torque. I have an H70 Tecumseh Snow engine on my 1977 Craftsman (Murray) snow blower that surges a little until it’s warmed up but once it smoothed out it’ll really tear through some serious snow. My only complaint as I’ve stated in Ken’s live stream is it does NOT have electric start OR automatic compression release so it takes a pretty strong arm to crank over.

Curb picked the same one. Put a 205 cc Briggs and Stratton on it. I modified the impeller with thick rubber pads. Now it throws snow 40 to 50 feet. Right across the street. Haven’t used it yet this winter. We only have 2 inches of snow. Almost spring now. Million thanks. St.Paul,Minnesota.
