Meet Lou Zamperini, a World War II vet and former Olympic runner, who ended up in a fight for his life when on a rescue mission crashed into the ocean, and had to survive 4 months at sea, only to be captured by the Japanese. This is truly one of the most incredible stories ever told. Don't miss it!

I read his book unbroken in the hole in prison and it gave me a whole new outlook on life I thought I had it bad and this man had went threw so many trials and tribulations but came out on top when it was all over. It made me realize how much worse my situation could be and that there was always light at the end of the tunnel his story is amazing and he’s really a inspiration I highly recommend checking out his book it’s a real eye opener.

Funny thing how put running the cops can make you very fast. I remember my friends being behind me when someone said I'm calling the police. We turned around and ran and I was last in the pack and knowing the the last in line is the one caught i ran past all 7 of them and the other fast kid was the farthest from me when I started. I got back to base so quickly that I was waiting 20 mins for the rest of them to catch up. After 10 mins I thought we had lost some to capture. I still have no record. Lol

Read the book Unbroken for school and definitely enjoyed it One of the interesting parts is apparently when he first went to be recruited his resting BPM was too low (slow?) and so when he went the second time he ran I think it was a mile or something so that his “resting” BPM would be high enough to qualify.

You know zaffirini live to be that old and did all these great things because of the Forgiveness he found within himself forgiving others is not about them it's about letting go of a poison within us so that we can get on with our lives this is an awesome story about forgiveness because watanabi had no regrets he had lived his life just fine and if zaprini would have tortured himself continue to torture himself after the war because of what had happened it would have been on him he chose to forgive and he lived his life good the other guy had no regrets and he lived his life good that's the miracle that is the miracle both men had the same reality
