There is no sects in Islam! Do not call yourself Shia or Sunni etc. We are only Muslims. And Muslims only follow the Quran, the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad pbuh and the Hadith! While Ali (RA) brought the armor on his way to the prophet he met Uthman ibn Affan, he asked him where he was going, Ali replied he was going to the prophet with his armor to give as dowry so he could marry Fatima, Uthman said, give it to me and I'll pay for it, he bought it and then before Ali left he told him, take this armor as a wedding gift to you, returning the armor to Ali. He asked him not to fight which AMR rejected. 2. He asked him to come down (AMR was riding the horse so Ali asked him to come down and fight face to face.)... AMR acepted this but he quickly cut-off the legs of his horse... It is said that when AMR asked Ali why he chopped his leg.. Ali replied bcz of what he did to the innocent horse....

And they did it to save prayers... When Imam Hussain said let me pray it's time to pray, they said no! Of course, there are differences between Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims, but we are all Muslims, we all believe in God and His Messenger. :) And that's what really matters. If we turn against each other over small differences, the real enemy will pounce on us and destroy us - and that has happened already, because Muslims in general have become divided over small issues, rather than uniniting under the common belief that we all share: There is no god but God and Muhamad is the Messenger of God.

@Al Barbarī ابو يحيى البربري Of course there are bad Shias, but there are bad Sunni Muslims too. In short, we shouldnt be divided, because that's the reason why we're so weak and oppressed. I don't agree with Shias in that they say the first three Caliphs weren't the rightful Caliphs, but that doesnt mean I hate them all. :) And I'm pretty sure not all Shias belive that, either. In the end, we're all Muslims, and we should try to work together.

Even then, none of the early Muslims called anyone who believed "There is no god but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God" disbelievers. They tried to show them why they were wrong, they didn't say, "You're not Muslims." So we should follow the example of the Companions and their successors, may God be pleased with them. :)

Muawiya was a fake Muslim like his father. The Ummayads were open enemies of Rasool Allah(SAW) and Ahlulbayt(as). Remember the Prophet said the Truth is with Ali (as), and they cursed Muawiya.

Also another part of the treaty said after you either give the khalafa to me and if I am not alive my brother Hussain, and who he gave it to? His son yazid lanati... It's actually sad these so called Muslims put Ali ibn Abi Talib alongside the very people who fought and tried to kill the prophet and joined Islam when they couldn't beat the prophet, now they are the greatest companions and alongside nafs e Rasool, for whom Rasool Allah said Ali is my identical counterpart, for which Allah said in the Qur'an Ali is nafs e Rasool "you bring yourself, I bring myself" during mubhela... It's sad really

After the conquest of Makkah, Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (R.A) served as secretary to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and he was the writer of the Revelation. He (R.A) was also the brother-in-law of the Rasoolullah (S.A.W) as Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (R.A)’s sister Hazrate Umm Habiba (R.A) was married to the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). The Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) had once said: “The first group of Muslims to make Naval Jihad will be the inhabitants of Heaven”. The first Naval Jihad in the history of Islam was organized and lead by Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (R.A). During the Caliphate of Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) and Hazrat Umar (R.A), Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (R.A) served in the army and fought under the command of Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed (R.A), Hazrat Abu Ubaida Bin Al Jarrah (R.A) and Hazrat Yazeed Bin Abi Sufyan (R.A) (Elder brother of Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (R.A)). After the passing away of Hazrat Yazeed Bin Abi Sufyan (R.A), Hazrat Umar (R.A)appointed Hazrat Amir Muawiyah (R.A) as the Governor of Syria. He (R.A) was loved and respected by the people of Syria where he served as the governor for 20 years. He (R.A) was known to his people as “The silver tongued Amir.” When Hazrat Muawiya (R.A) became caliph he conquered many places and spread Islam over there. So before you say something about Hazrat Muawiya (R.A) you should first think who are you talking about. You shia don't even respect sahaba.
