Absolutely brilliant video, made me giggle , really enjoyed. Stunning scenery, somewhere on my list to visit. Thank you for sharing ! & ps nice Hats 🤣

Thanks Mrs A. The hats were Josh's idea. To be worn in public manoeuvres so our skill would be remembered. Seems that they brought nothing but shame.

Oh dear what a shambles…. So enjoyed laughing at all the mishaps and stories being thrown back and forth, hilarious. You did look tired DR, every time you yawned I did one too. I am shocked that the boat leaks and the state of the toerail, well standards are slipping. Love the hats, I was out two weekends ago, hot and sunny and we all donned pirate hats and did a raid on Cowes. No wind at all the next day. Happy days, stay safe you chaps. Dave you know your pipes are corroded and you need those pads in more than your bilge ! Sorry there was no casserole cooking scene- Dave epic fail there mate ! Love the hats and dinghy skills in this video. Nice to see a sensible crew member for a change and a s for those flies in the sail bag- if you took out the dead body it would help !

Hey Fiona, how are the elbows. Sorry to say that Mr. Oliver dropped your wonderful hat in the sea and lost it. He then went on to lose his clown hat in the sea too. Yet more epic failings. Stay safe.

Your brave going in the Heron! Last time I went there the Landlord was dressed from head to toe in a Liverpool football kit and he asked me and my family to leave as we walked in the door! It seems watching football is more important than paying customers! I have a share in another boat in Mylor Yacht Harbour, so know the area almost as well as the Solent....

I'm going to try filtered coffee. Mrs W isn't fond of me spraying the kitchen when depressing the cafetiere's plunger. Speaking of things she isn't fond of, two months into (modest) boat ownership (for which I hold this channel partly responsible), she's somewhat alarmed by the running costs. Any tips for keeping wife & boat?
@LeeShoresLazyJacksandLunches3 жыл бұрын
Hi Phillip, good point about coffee. Mr Oliver has spilt many a coffee grout into my pristine bilge. With regard to costs, now there’s a question. Swinging mooring rather than pontoon. Learn some diesel mechanics and do much of your own servicing. Try doing as much DIY as you can, KZbin is great for knowhow. Remind Mrs W that holidaying aboard is cheap compared to holidaying abroad (on the whole). What price to see the amazing U.K. coastline from seaward. Source as many chandlery items online as you can. Chandlers on the whole are a rip off. I am sure @David Oliver will have a few ideas. Keep us updated how it goes and say hello when I’m Beaulieu. Stay safe.

@@LeeShoresLazyJacksandLunches Fantastic. Thanks, Dave. I am loving it, btw. No buyer's remorse here. Learning to do the work myself is going to be part of the adventure, and hopefully we'll be able to secure a swinging mooring in Chichester habour or around there for next year. Hope to see you gents out & about. All the best.
