Hello Pedro, SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation is strictly for fluid dynamics and heat transfer, it was not built specifically for plastics and injection molding.

I tried simulating the cooling channels in the solid works plastics and got an error written( AMG terminated with the error code).What could cause such an error?? Kindly anybody respond

This error code is fairly generic, I’ve included the top three hits for it from our database: 1) SOLIDWORKS Plastics: AMG terminated with error code **** 210 indexS= 1 error message in the Flow/Pack Analysis Manager when using a Filled Hot Runner. Polymer Material specific no error using ABS 2) SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2019: Cool Pipe > Cool analysis crash 'AMG terminated with error code **** 211 Part ejection *** ERROR: NaN detected in (compute_residual_norm)!' 3) AMG terminated with error code **** 51 indexS= 1 !! Error !! Short shot occurred, error is detected during computation process. The message can occur because of a set up issue, or a bug in the software. KZbin isn’t a great way to diagnose the problem, so I recommend you reach out to your local reseller or the SOLIDWORKS Forums and have someone look at your specific set up.

Thank you very much! Just one note... for some reason Weld Line check box does not appear as an option of Fill Time. I don't know if it is something I missed during your explanation or a bug in my installation?

Thanks for your comment Michael, it could be a few different things. The best option for you would be to contact your VAR, they can better diagnose your problem
