I've been into Mt Palmer many times over the years both on the good road and the 'bad' road and never had an issue on either of them. I did come close to getting bogged in the lake one night approaching Mt Palmer along the good road but got lucky and made it across. Since then I've always taken the road that winds around the lake to get into Mt Palmer. Great video!

Doing this trip in Sept 2021... leaving from Rockingham.... over to southern cross... coolgardie... norseman... esprerance.... ravensthorpe...lake grace....bridgetown.. then margaret river will be our last spot until we go back home. Doing it all in 3 weeks :)

We went in to Mt Palmer via the other (good) road and came out via the track to Yellowdine. We had the Jayco Swan on the back but it was dry weather and no problem then. The dry lake you crossed would probably be a bit dodgy if things were a bit damp. It is a great area to explore.

Yeah the track was pretty much dry for me too. Would be a bit of fun in the wet though. 👍

As you said if it was wet I dont think it would be a good idea but that quartz and salt lake out at yellowdine is a very nice spot. Just have to watch out for the massive corrugations along there haha almost shook the panels off the car

Awesome man. I would lime 2c th handy little camera u use. It seems 2 have a feature im interestef in, that motion it does 2 make it suddenly stop n go and th smooth movement of when it pans👍👍 Got my tickets 4th big show n November, u goin?

It a GoPro hero 8 Rob, I use the voice control to turn it on and off when I’m driving. It’s got built in stability control. 👍 If the shows on mate I’m there!
