Very nice video. You covered a lot of ground, despite the altitude sickness. Hope you're keeping well hydrated, that helps. I liked how you labeled each of the lakes and passes, very helpful.

Thank you. I did drink 1L every 4-6 miles. Maybe that wasn’t enough. The wind may have made that amount inadequate. I really want to go back and attempt Langley again with a different strategy next year. Thanks again for watching.

Really great job filming this one and I’m proud of you for listening to your body (about time lol). Man it looked coldddd up there!

Thank you. It was brutal up where I turned around. I’ve never had wind cut through everything-jackets gloves, etc.

Great video. Cottonwood Lakes and New Army Pass was my first Sierra trip 10 years ago. I've had a few trips where I didn't reach my intended destination on the first try and it always goes much better the second time around.

Thanks Brian. I will definitely be back. I’ve never been hit so hard with altitude sickness. Lack of sleep probably didn’t help.

Awesome video Brad! So sorry you were suffering from altitude sickness. Andrea and I are heading out to the same area in a few weeks. Hopefully we won't run into the cold, windy conditions you faced. Your video has us excited for this trip!

@@wolfeadventures we plan to hike to Long Lake or High lake and use that as basecamp. Second day we plan to summit Langley and maybe Cirque if we feel up to. 3rd day back to Horseshoe Meadows.

Maybe should have stayed at the trailhead to acclimate prior? Lots of elevation gain from there

I thought one night at the lakes would be enough. Obviously was not. I have hiked higher altitudes worth getting sick but this time it wasn’t in the cards.

Dont know if you know this but high altitude hiking you need to spend a day or night at the altitude you arrived at so tour body can acclimate flat landers then you need to gain altitude slowly to prevent altitude sickness if you do get sick decend in altitude and acclimate..nice job though good views
