I went on a solo camping trip and took my kayak! Even though I was not WAY out in the sticks, I felt so empowered by making the trip happen myself. Sharing this is my way of encouraging you to do, well, anything you want! (Though I hope its camping and fishing!)

I love that you’re rocking it relatively minimalist in a tiny car. I’ve been solo camping many times, including multi-week bike camping trips. Despite what they tell ya, you don’t need all the bells and whistles. (Some of us can’t afford that stuff anyway!) In my travels, sooooo many dudes were worried about me, telling me I needed a knife or gun to “protect” myself. I see you’re getting the same response, hah. At any rate, I’ve found nothing but the kindest souls in my travels, and being able to move through the beauty of this country’s wild places and take care o’ business by your lonesome is 🤘! My daughter and I love your videos. We / I just bought a fishing kayak and are going to be trying it out soon. I wish more information and groups were available to learn ocean kayak fishing! Looked like a fun trip. I camped alone once with my dog, and yep..he was alert to all sorts of things that I couldn't necessarily hear.. It made me a littl nervous at times..lol I don't have a dog anymore, but since then I bought a 9mm S&W shield pistol that makes me feel safe and I sleep well at night.

I camp and fish and hunt alone quite often, but it's a little different for a guy. It is empowering to be completely self-sufficient. I think everybody needs some alone time outdoors. It's good for the soul. Good job Ash.

Bad Ash, you are loaded down in your vehicle. You need a larger vehicle like a 3/4 Ton pickup truck and a trailer for your Kayak. I have been in that kind of situation in the past.
