Get yourself a stainless steel water bottle that you can heat in the fire. When the water is boiling cap the bottle, wrap it in a shirt or sock and place it in your sleeping bag. It will keep you warm and your water won’t be frozen in the morning. It’s hard to get your boots dirty when your feet are frozen. That desert ground looks hard as concrete. 🥶

Desert camping and jalapeno poppers, it doesn't get any better. Really love the camping and bushcraft videos.
@skyym362911 ай бұрын
Try staking your bacon to the peppers with toothpicks, don't forget and eat the part of the pick that doesn't burn up in the fire and stays in the food. My Doberman died from someone who gave her bacon-wrapped hamburgers and half the pick was still in the meat. I lodged in her intestine and she died a painful week-long death. We had an autopsy done on it for free because the vet had no clue as to what had killed her and that is how we found out and figured out the whole heart-wrenching scenario. God bless bro and thanks for the videos and info.

Great tip Kevola, used that many times on cold nights. Nothing like having a warm nights sleep. A nice fire wall behind the camp fire helps as well to get a little extra heat reflected back at you on the real cold nights.

Hey junk dog, love your vids. When I go camping in cold weather and I have a fire, I charge up my thermal batteries ( Rocks ) in the fire. then place them under my tent, below where my feet will be resting when I'm unconscious. You must dig a hole deep enough that you don't melt the floor of your tent. It's a balancing act.Works out well in sandy areas where it's easy to dig.. I guarantee, those thermal batteries will still be pumping out heat after you get up in the morning. I figured this out after freezing my ass off when camping in Sheep Canyon in the Anza Borrego Desert and getting up in the morning and checking out the heat that was still coming off of the rocks around the fire ring. If you're going to enjoy the fire, might as well charge some batteries that you will enjoy all night long. Cheers!

For my 18th birthday my friends and I went camping in the high desert in Southern California. My birthday is mid-August. That night, it got so cold, our water jug froze over and I had to break the ice with a stick the next morning. Mid-August, and it got below freezing! No that I noticed, I was curled up in my sleeping bag next to the fire with my good friend Jim Beam.

"Hey, Hombre" I've been using the Hello out of the fake K-Bar you inspired me to buy. Because it's tough 💪I think bringing it back out of retirement for a few weeks would make for a heck of a video. Mine is so hard core I can't destroy it, and, it's so easy to resharpen with my two ceramic rods it's almost ridiculous. I haven't had any problems at all with mine loosing the butt end or bending anywhere. Think about it 🤔 When out in the desert 🏜 you want reliability. Even cold steel has that new Leatherneck SF that looks just like the K-Bar. I tell ya, that aught to be worth 10 minutes.
