You just cracked the code with the cinematic lens. It makes watching so much more enjoyable. I'm going to be 100% honest and I don't want you to take this the wrong way but I am really only a casual fan of this channel. I watch some of your videos but I'm not waiting for the next one every week like I do some other channels. i was glued to this video because of the visual quality. I am a wildlife photographer. Maybe I'm more sensitive to the subtlety of the cinematic look but I really think it adds so much to your already great videos.

Michael, outstanding video, and hits close to home for me... I run a 2014 Power Wagon with almost 100K miles on her, and I exclusively run solo, simply because so many folks wanna log miles every day of their trip and that's just not who I am. My rig is very much capable of staying off-grid for weeks at a time, and when I come across a beautiful spot that leaves me isolated from others, I will stay in that location for days before I head on down the trail. While you are among many KZbinrs I enjoy watching, the majority make great videos by pushing themselves for many miles a day, with many getting to a campsite in the dark (not ideal for a solo traveler)... I think it would be great for more KZbinrs to document their campsites more thoroughly for the beauty they have found in God's country instead of having such a rigid schedule that they can sometimes miss what's right under their noses. Thanks so much for a welcome change in the normal venue, beautifully done, and I look forward to seeing more of these videos with this aspect of overlanding... Godspeed...

Thank you soo much for the note! I really agree. I don't want a schedule, and ideally - I don;t know where I will be in 3 days, or even tomorrow, and I really enjoy doing nothing in a great location. thank you for watching.

Well Michael, you've outdone yourself. That was the first KZbin video that filled my 36" monitor corner to corner with those epic landscapes. Well done, young man! That was great. Thank you. I needed that today. My truck quit last night and stranded me and now the part that the garage "thinks" it needs is on backorder for who knows how long. So I am homebound for the most part, so again, thanks for taking me out for a little trip.

“Cinematic adventure”. This was so awesome. I love when you “yammer” but appreciate the silent moments also. But Michael I have to say…that opening music. I just had a warm moment in my heart!❤️Put it on pause, got a big cup of tea and settled in. The music set the tone for a real John Wayne event! If I ever get an off road rig I will name it Stagecoach! As it takes you on necessary adventures! (See how I worked that in!). Keep up the good work. Thanks so much!

It would be awesome to see some of those anamorphic pano shots in B&W with a film grain filter applied. Maybe even bookend a video with them. In my mind it would look like you started out traveling in the 1800's then came to current day to tell your story and then faded back into the past. For a real treat, you could start out at a lower resolution, come up incrementally to HD or 4K, and then drop back when the story was over.
