Guys I notice a lot of vids are 15k views yet the likes are so low… let’s take the one second and like the content! I am months behind just due to busy business and me camping personally. But come on this man works his ass off to get this content. Take the one second and like it. He doesn’t ask or beg. Shoot I hardly hear him mention it. But we all know commenting and liking helps him get out to more people. Hit it on on the stuff you’ve watched and enjoyed in the past even. I put old stuff on and run ads even just to show support hoping Jeremy gets half a cent per ad! Just saying let’s goooooooo

If you had a choice of only one tent for backpacking or cycletouring in terms of room and set up which tent would you use? Nice trip. Impressed with that tent. It's a beauty. However I prefer my one tigris outback with the double awning in case of rain. Ever think of using the tripod stabilizing stand under the propane bottle? I swear by them. They weigh nothing and prevent spills since I use a good size fry pan. I always enjoy you making that coffee. Alwsys look for a New contraption you come up with. Strainer, then a press,, now a filter. I still don't get the rain thing. If it rains while I'm sleeping, ok. But not during rhe day. I will admit nothing like the smell of the air during the rain though. Nice trip. I'm jealous in a good way. Thanks for the daily escape.👍

Just like you, I reverted back from using mainly a cannister stove. I have a few alcohol stoves, and at the same time, was interested in playing with a catfood stove. They are not the most efficient stove, burning all their fuel usually under 10 minutes, but they are like x10 times lighter or so than most trangia knock off one can get. One easy, although sootier way to have a longer burn time (which also allows for simmering), can be accomplished by mixing around 50-50 vegetable oil with the alcohol fuel. Cut a piece of a lantern wick, and lay it on its side in the mix. The alcohol will burn fast and hot and prime the combustion of the oil. You can easily extinguish a stove by using a mason jar one piece lid (like the one you may find on pasta sauce on the shelves at the supermarket) with a bandana wrapped around it to prevent oxygen from getting in from the holes in the stove. The remaining oil and wick are easily stored in a pill bottle, while I found that HDPE liquid yogurt bottle are great to carry around a cup of fuel around safely. You can use a small syringe (5-10 ml should be enough) to get the alcohol back to the bottle from the stove. As a catfood stove is just 6g or so, you may bring 1-2 additionnal for more elaborate cooking at almost to weight penalty. I usually carry a twig stove as well, and the alcohol is my backup as my firestarter skills are not as sharp as yours. This way, I really don't need to carry a whole lot of alcohol around, one of the main drawback typically associated with alcohol stoves.

Great tent setup and those stoves are loud. I have a question about the tipi hot tent. Do you have a problem with condensation when you use it without the stove ?
@Lonewolfwildcamping

@@Lonewolfwildcamping I have a single wall tent A frame style that’s so bad if you bump it in the morning water comes down like rain. I really want to try hot tenting this year but I’m hopeful I can use it when the stove isn’t needed also.

Really ? you ordered a fancy feast can and can of tomato paste and a whole roll of paper towel ( replaceable wick)? Just to get the BEST alcohol stove? HAH I have a Trangia and I like the cat can better. And a smaller pack size since I do not need a stand. Keep in mind this is from a guy that has the Marlingtop 80L and still can not fit all his gear in it. NO Down products for Hammock camping. They cost to much. I have clutter issues. Loving the Pomoly kettle, NICE
