FYI the solo leveling added scenes are just following the source material, the light novel, thats why you will find some differences in the story telling.Its a good sign for me though, i personally havent read the light novel but everyone that has says that it adds a lot more nounce to the story so i hope a1 can elevate the manhwa, at least in pacing and details, to some extent

in heaven official's blessing, the gods arent directly based on actual real mythology gods, instead all the gods are humans who have ascended through being exceptional, like being a master of martial arts, which is a whole genre called xianxia

Danny Danny Danny. Well firstly happy happy bday!!!!! You still need to watch grandmaster of demonic cultivation. Both Danny and Nick should watch it. It's sick, great fighting, amazing, spectacular. It different to heaven officials blessings in the best ways even if the manhuas and novels are written by the same guy. It's so much easier to understand but also so much more gruesome. A lot of blood, amazing plot. Yes 2 boys trying not to kiss but, love it. It's such a amazing donghua that more people need to see and appreciate. Plus it has it's fare share of humour. But damn is it not afraid to get dark. And not all characters get to be redeemed, and not all characters always come around to the main character. It's just Intense and just please watch it.

The apothecary diaries takes place in china but it's a japanese production based on a manga, that's based on a light novel. It's pretty good. Don't know if its your style, but it's a good story, good characters and gorgeous animation.

The way I run over here from Spotify to talk about Heaven Official’s Blessing. 🤣 Yeah, understanding HOB pretty much requires reading the novel. It’s a fantasy novel, everything is made up by the author or comes from the xianxia genre. I highly recommend giving The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation a shot. It’s completed and the most easy to follow (and my personal favorite). I also recommend the DVDs, Viki’s subtitle translation for it sucks. I’d be happy to send them to you myself. 🤣 The manhua is also probably the best adaptation, and widely available, so if you wanted to check it out, that’s there too.

If you wanna read, read both manhwa and the light novel. Both have different perspectives of delivering moments. Also, if Solo Leveling is the first manhwa you're going to read, then YOU ARE SOO LUCKY! You can literally read all the other manhwas becuase almost all manhwas are actually banger! Try this after Solo Leveling; -Omniscient Reader's Viewpoints -Tower Of God -SSS-Class Suicide Hunter -Noblesse (It had an anime but it's currently on hiatus) -The Beginning After The End (although from the storytelling perspective, the light novel is better I think, personally) -Leveling With The Gods -Return of The Suicidal Battle God -Return of The Frozen Player -Her Summon -Nano Machine -Player Who can't Level Up -Overgeared -Heavenly Demon Can't Live Normal Life -Duke Pendragon -The S-classes that I raised -Return To Player -Murim Login -And much more, can't really spell them all but yeah, you'll find them all once you keep on reading There's some of the manhuas too, but I only liked Release That Witch, Magic Emperor, and Iron Ladies, while currently also following Swallowed Star donghua. You got alot to digest man, you better activate your [Gluttony] skill if you want em all😌

Im glad youre getting into manhua and donghua. So the way I see it cultivation stories are their version of shonen, but based around martial art fiction where you cultivate in order to ascend and gain better resources/powers. They each have their own twists but most of them have stages like levels in a video game Monster is a prequel to One piece following the story of Shimotsuki Ryuma (Zoro fought him in thriller bark and got his sword).

I just finished my third read of the Solo Leveling manhwa and it was 200 chapters including the epilogue. I really hope the hype stays up for the show though so it will continue to get renewed, none of it will make sense unless we can get to the end of the story. Unless they plan on showing more of that stuff earlier on like they have with some of the characters, not really sure how they'd do that though.

Here the thing it's following the novel. Solo leveling was first a novel, then the manwha/webcomic, now the anime. The juju part in the beginning us what happened in the first raid to juju island.

Okay, I NEED to reiterate: Ranga Crimson is great - in the manga! The little girl (Spoiler for episode two, I guess) has not been relevant in the past 11 volumes. But every dragon they fight feels like an apocalypse, like they would wreck the world of another manga, because they do in here. Literally genocided a country in a week or so, bc they wanted to be "merciful" about it. Don't watch it, but if you read it, you will love it!

on the subject of fighting the shadow puppet animals fairly certain you fight them all at once if only becuase of how aquiring them works also considering he never has more then 2 wolves because youd think if he could just summon 1 at a time beat it then suddenly he just has another wolf hes just farm it till he just has a river of wolves with his rabbit tide so yeah youd fight them as they are summoned by him eg 2 wolves a 1000 rabbits etc

there's an adorable anime called Sweetness and Lightning about a single father who learns to cook for his 5 year old daughter after his wife passes and him and his kid are left eating convenience store food after her loss. he learns about the love and warmth that goes into cooking and every ep is just him learning thr basics and then cooking a relatively simple recipe. all of it ia shown in the episode so you can follow along with them. the hamburg steak recipe that my family loves when I cook is literally from that anime. i made it tonight for dinner

Ragna chrimson drops that whole shtick by the end of the first ep. Some great fight scenes, couple slow eps here and there but otherwise unique concept. Worth getting past first 12 mins of the first ep and then judging it after the end of the first ep

It's on track to be finished in 3 seasons, but since the 1st season is a double I can see them doing 2 double seasons and extending the fights, and then adapting the extra side story as an OVA

As someone who has had to break up pitbulls from fighting before, I am physically larger than Danny and can hardly manage 2 dogs trying to fight each other. If they were much bigger, like wolves and trying to fight you and not themselves, then you would die without question. One would likely be able to do it even if you had 15 crowbars.

Monsters is based in the one piece universe, it’s the swordsman ryuma from thriller bark. Well the story is similar and the character is called Ryuma, and the one shot wasn’t the same character but the story is so similar I think it’s an adaptation of the story of one piece ryuma

I don’t know why, but for Solo Leveling I have eight volumes of the published light novel and it’s complete with the side stories. I’m wondering if they change the volume count when it was translated into English? I have it from audible as an audiobook and Kindle as an e-book. The first two episodes get to roughly the middle of chapter 3 in the late novel, English translation. I found I enjoyed the light novel more than the Manhwa towards the end, because I started getting bored with all of the fighting and I felt it was handled better in the books, but that tends to happen a lot for adaptations. I’m enjoying the animation of it though. I watched it with my daughter and we had a lot of fun comparing the differences.

Solo Leveling is literal a slow start its called world building and also if you read it like me multiple times because author and artist is GOATED your gonna see in the anime the many set ups and the pay off is crazy because you cant get hyped if you only see hype you know but it goes up and up and up in its fights and scale trust the process or just read it its not that long
