I know what you mean by Link Click not having anime tropes. The girl Xiao Ling you think is going to be super into one of the protagonists fawn and flirt but none of that happens. She is just a girl mostly. The fighting is different. In anime fights there is always a moment where they introduce themselves like a duel and there is honor amongst the fighting. In anime there is exposition of everything explained even to their enemies but none of that ever happens. In fact they try to conceal their abilities as much as possible. I personally love all the differences like it is a breath of fresh air. Music in Link Click is just top notch. I think I will listen to another set of Link Click music again.

My intro anime was DBZ which I watched as a kid and didn't watch much of anything else until my 20s other than Naruto. But one day I walked into Best buy and the cover art for Guilty Crown caught my eye. Bought it on the spot and binged it. To this day, I consider it my actual entry point. Now I watch so much other shit. Even some Slice of life stuff here and there.

Excuse me, if you’ve already talked about this, and I just hadn’t seen the episode, but an anime that I really like your opinions on is the great pretender. It’s a real emotional roller coaster, that you have to really think about in order to understand the characters. It’s a show I feel is even better the second time you watch it because you cannot see it in a whole new light by the time you see the end. It’s kind of a spoiler, but even the opening credits have spoilers. And the song itself the great pretender sung by queen is a spoiler, but for reasons you wouldn’t expect.

Which anime characters do I think I could beat? Light Yagami, he gets the notebook I get a face mask. Light would get dogged during covid. DBZ abridged Yamcha. Detective Conan, if he gets gadgets, then I do too. The main guy from erased and another and Sao and shangrila. The hardest one is controversial, yuta okotsu, if I can get 30 minutes of just roasting him first. I got enough punch lines to make him hurt himself for me. Luffy, too, if I can get those 30 minutes. Win or lose, if get those 30mins for either, I'll feel victorious.

I *need* this comment read out loud at some point, but can we talk about Danny and the wolves? I feel like Nick forgets that we, as humans, will almost always hold back against dogs in self defense. But a wolf? Id break a wolf's bones and/or gouge an eye out, Id punch one square in the temple. A dog? I might like, kick at it? But not hard? I think between it not being someone's pet, and the adrenaline, Danny can take out *one* of the two wolves. Just sayin. You wouldnt deck Fido with the energy of an angry god, but youd go *ham* on a wild animal attacking you.
