You are by far the most conscientious woodsman out there. Very impressed with how you dug out the peat, built your fire, extinguished the fire with water and then put back the peat. This should be required viewing for all wilderness adventure seekers. Leave nothing but footprints and take only memories. Top Job 👏

This has inspired long-held desires to escape to the woods. When I was little, I wanted to be a mountain-woman. That got snuffed out since that isn't "womanly". Bah! Learned a lot so far. Love that there is no talking (I use a tarp because blah,blah, blah..." No music but the ambient forest sounds. You start something and I'm hooked thinking, "What is he doing now? What is he making?". Keep doing you, Swedwoods!

I was two years ago during a summer in the forest of Sweden, and unfortunately the ground used to be flooded and there was a lot of mosquitoes, and it did not get dark all night, so I recommend carrying 1) a hammock with mosquito net 2) sleeping mask

its the swedish LK35 military backpack. i have the same one. you can get it from military surplus stores for around 50 usd. added a hip belt to mine too which i think makes a huge difference. Its also popular to replace the straps with alice straps for increased comfort.

I was born and rise literally in the jungle...this remind me those days. Quiet, calm, peaceful. You bring food from home but us go to the jungle to get food. Like they said, forest is not a place to visit. It's home. Thanks for bringing us this home.

That moss covered forest floor is just awesome to me . Nothing like that around here . Brats cooked in butter topped with bacon. Sounds heart healthy to me 😁 .Have a buddy in New York that does videos . Die hard fan of the Palaka’s . Awesome video as always.

I’m always so jealous of these vids and even vids from the west coast here in the states. Out here in the eastern woodlands undergrowth is so thick it’s the closest thing to a jungle besides the jungle. It’s almost impossible to ground camp with a lot of work unless you find a pine forest. Your lucky!
