Lovely vlog ❤️. This is pretty much what solo camping is about. Peace, quiet and enjoying the sounds ,scents and scenery of Nature. Precious memories. From Allentown, PA, USA

I know everyone complains about the quiet videos I kind of like them. But sometimes just sitting back and watching works the best.
@rockwitch21142 жыл бұрын
I guess that the quiet videos seem to be a thing on KZbin but I LOVE when you are talking and enjoying your camp. ASMR is overrated!!!!! IMO. You are by far one of the best camp/cook videos out there.

So absolutely agree with you. I am really really not fond of silent videos. I love when you talk it really helps with my depression and makes me feel like I’m a part of. So I so agree with your comment I will watch it only because I love his channel but really don’t like silence like this

It's a bloody great shelter Andy. You will have many great nights there and around that firepit you built. The ambiance with the fire and the lamps, the beer and that spatchcock chicken is mouthwatering. Have a great trip with Simon👍👍

Being a self confessed introvert and somewhat anti social, I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos when I'm off in my local forest in my shelter waiting for my food to cook. I've introduced my kids to you as well, you're a fantastic role model and exactly who I want my kids to be exposed to. You translate as an extremely authentic and genuine person and having known people like you in my time I can tell that you are just one of the good ones. So I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for the time and effort that you place into your videos, thank you for the knowledge that you share with the viewers, so much knowledge these days has a value attached to it, you share selflessly and through your passion of bushcraft etc. It's refreshing and uplifting, so thank you. I hope you have continued success and I hope you get loads of gear sent to you from sponsors, because if there's anyone who deserves it, it's you. From an Andrew up north to an Andrew down south, all the best 🙂

"The Quiet Man" starring John Andy Wayne! Love these occasional wordless videos - heightened serenity. This video's gonna cost me. Before I didn't know I need four lanterns and not just the two I already have.... Great ambience!

Nobody can accuse you of starving on a camp-out. Your culinary accomplishments are awesome! Good thing it's now time for dinner. You have made me so hungry as I watched you cook that chicken and then breakfast the next morning. Thanks! 😊

Love your fire pit/wood stove Andy. You have a great camp there. Another stellar meal. Nice to have the awesome shelter so you do not have to erect your tent etc. Gives you more time to enjoy the surroundings and cook then have a cold one or two. So comfortable and you have that extra protection from wildlife. Will you ever attach a skin to cover the opening to protect you from the elements. It is so amazing how comfortable you can be and the great meals you can cook without all the modern conveniences. You are definitely a outdoorsman with class, not mentioning how very clever and resourceful you are. Well Done! Such an inspiration.

The great thing about these videos is they show you, no matter how much wood you have, you never have enough. Much of ones time in any grid down scenario will be foraging for fuel :) Top videos as always.. As someone else said growing wild garlic / mushrooms or something on your roof would be extremely beneficial!

I was in Yorkshire, for a wild camp. I'd set up my bivvy, and was digging a fire pit to do my cooking on. As I was removing turf, I noticed there was stuff buried there, and I set to, to dig it up. At first, it was those massive ashtrays, that you used to find in pubs, and after a fair few of those I started to dig up old pewter tankards that you still see in some pubs, and under a fair few of those, I started to find pictures of dogs playing poker and snooker, like you sometimes see in pubs. I realized then, that I was on Ilkley Moor bar tat!

That tiny shelter is really great - the floor is a perfect height for sitting outdoors, the outside shelf is super practical and keeps things off the ground, you sleep out of the rain and wind but still are outdoors so get both benefits. The firepit is awesome. And I'm guessing that you'll keep improving on the site - as you see need. Your breakfast; what do you call a bacon sandwich? I knew someone from up North who called it a bacon butty (I think that's how she spelled it) When she camped with us, that's what she'd make from the food we had. Great job Andy.
