I played three solo games of this tonight and the bots crushed me all three times! First game was a military victory, second was a science victory, and the third game I actually made it to the end but still lost by around twenty points! In my defense, I have only played the game one other time against my sister. It was the first time either of us had played. Of course I lost that game too. Still, I like the game because I see that there is a fair bit of strategy to be explored.

Just printed mine out. Holy the backs are way off! Ended up printing fronts on cardstock, and backs on full sheet labels then cutting 3 sides of each to line them up which worked really well. Then laminate and boom! ready to try it out. Also, linked this video to the solo game in BGG as there were no videos for it yet.

The backsides are correct now at least on their webpage. You have to flip it on the right side though.

Zee cheated at 20:27! Cleopatra’s card was take an extra turn so she probably would have got either the newly uncovered 1 or 2 military with her second turn! We’ll forgive you, Zee. Good job. I played it for the first time today and lost to both Caesar and Cleopatra. He did it again at 38:04 and 38:40 but corrected this about a minute later.

22:40 "if she takes that military" - was there a way she could NOT take that military? Looks like on AI cards and with Cleopatra she WILL take red/green/blue if there is any and other if there are no those three. As at that point only 2 grey and one red were available, so it sounds like there was no other way than taking the red. Am I missing something?

Have anyone figured out if you should give cleopatra the coins? I would have won if not and the rules aren't clear about the progress tokens. I'd assume so though.

you did not take the science that was your turn at 46:38, that means the Purple card was hers.so the whole rest of the game after 46:38 was misplayed. But mistakes happen.

I printed my set, I used an Epson Printer and printed double sided and they came out perfect.

I own Xia and enjoy it solo. Don't even try it without the expansion, as it helps with luck mitigation, exploration options and replayability. That said the solo mode comes in the expansion, but it also provides short, medium and long game modes.

Just won 71:68 against Aristotle for my very first AI match lol, he would've got only 63 if he didn't gain another turn at last and get 2 additional military points. Edit: I gave him The Messe, which literally saved me smh. 2nd edit: I wrongly checked the symbol, actually he couldn't get that last card, so it was 71:63.
