Software development is so abstracted nowadays, that unless you specialise in a very low level language, you don‘t get to learn much about the underlying hardware.
@nousernamejoshua1556
@nousernamejoshua1556 4 ай бұрын
Interesting that hardware can read over 7,000 different languages. I'm not sure how many coding languages there are or have been, but scoured by algorithms to add them to the database. But actual machine language is probably Cern over at the LHC. No, you would have to develop your hardware/software/and frequency. Most likely you don't get a frequency because all heat transfer is monitored. Even the 1940s CRT black and white television used an Electron gun to interlace lines to draw an image at a very high rate. Scanning Electron gun moving at like 15,000 lines a second¿ anyway they did produce xray off of phosphorus. European agreed to a different method. PAL VS NTSC. Sony Trinitron kept the market for 30 years until digital. I can't remember it all accurately just responding to Yes, software is scary. They compete for contracts, if there's a broadcast it's a .gov communications platform contract in the US. Same with the internet. OLED is probably AI-modeled applications. Apple liquid retina display which I saw statements requesting them to stop research into had extreme layers within each pixel.

I think also if you hang out with people who are way more technical than you, you start to think you aren't that technical. I've helped with technical writing for a game, and hanging out with the more technical devs has made me very much feel like I'm not good with computers, even though I'm very good relative to my normie friends

I also think the fact that you can just keep the vod up on your channel, out of the way in its own tab, is really practical about KZbin streams. And from a viewer perspective, getting to watch month old vods with the chat still there. With twitch vods on KZbin you don't get to read chat unless it's on screen (and even then you can't really read it well) or you try to watch the vod on Twitch, which is a whole awful can of worms

I mean I feel like episodes also show personality, charisma and thoughts. If anything episodes are more time and effort as opposed to streaming because of the editing process which would make streaming the content.

I taught my kids how to use a keyboard and mouse for gaming at 2 years old. I stuck stickers on w, a, s, d and bought a small laptop mouse. 2 years old and he could move around and fight monsters. They didn't get better at crafting, building or anything complicated til older. 13 years later and we have a lab room at our house where everyone has their own PC and we play Minecraft together as a family. =) Also a fun note, I have a Vault Hunters server literally running on my computer right now that my children log into and play on. They all love Vault Hunters. Thank you for all the hours of family fun Iskall!

The thing about family is the thing about a lot of friends. It is one thing to ask for the occasional help, but I find people don't even try and solve anything on their own they just expect you to do it ALL FOR THEM. It is those types you have to say NO, and explain why. Teach them to start learning and figuring out things on their own. So that they can surpass the master and then have karma come back and them seeing first hand why they were a douche. Then they will most likely come back to you and ask for help dealing with the situation you fixed for yourself.

Thanks for clarifying what bonus catalysts do, because I kept finding them in treasures chests, but because of the wild modifiers on them, I couldn't understand what made them so special that they were considered treasure when then had such an awful negative on them. And yeah, 3 year olds and PCs don't mix. It's a developmental thing. At that age, they can't process all the different movements and buttons at once. They can do 1 or 2 things at a time, and anything beyond that is too difficult. It'll change drastically in a couple years. My 5 year old is learning to play minecraft in creative and he's done pretty well at learning the basic controls. Meanwhile, his 3 year old sister has difficulty driving their remote control car because she can't understand that what she does with her fingers is exactly what the car will do. She often accidentally chooses the wrong direction and the car runs into her, and then she doesn't realize she needs to let go of the throttle to get it to stop because she's having enough difficulty processing that the car is doing something she doesn't like and it feels bad to have the wheels running up on her leg. She's learning, but it's just difficult at that age. On the other hand, she can navigate kiddie games on my ipad with ease because the controls can only handle one command at a time and usually have some kind of "smart" programming involved so that she doesn't have to be super precise.

On the smart TV discussion: we have multiple Google TV Chromecast 4ks on our TVs and have been very happy with the performance of them. The remote controls multiple devices from different brands (Vizio TV + samsung sound bar for example). There's a voice assistant on the remote itself and it has a decent home menu to link all your services. Not too expensive of a device either imo

On Twitch vs KZbin for video, the main issue for these VODs is that the VOD is getting absolutely crushed by the bitrate as well. In particular when Elixer orbs fill the screen or mobs, or when seeing Hunter particles, everything gets crushed. Twitch does not handle bitrate that well (though it sounds like with being able to "transcode" in OBS that might change, but still up to their bitrate and encoder limitations as well). KZbin's viewing experience also leaves something to be desired as a whole, but at least the stream quality is somewhat reliable, as is the app experience. Not to mention probably a better VOD experience (no mucking about with uploading from Twitch/local to YT). As far as where I get my content, there simply isn't enough hours and mental bandwidth in my day to enjoy Twitch or streams in general for that matter. That and with all the Twitch shenanigans always going on, it feels less and less like the platform I want to be on, and I've been a Twitch user since JustinTV days. KZbin may not be the most ideal platform, but it feels more well balanced between the two in terms of capabilities, with obvious strengths in video content. I consume most of my video content while I'm working or when I rarely solo game, and I can at least pause videos/VODs when I want to and not miss out. There's no benefit to watching streams during the day, and it takes too much of my attention to do so. I would LOVE to be able to catch streams, but it's just simply not in the cards. And on that note, please consider uploading complete VODs to KZbin, no editing required. In fact, this is where multi-streaming would possibly be beneficial. Your new computer might even enable you to do so reliably from a technical standpoint. I also don't know what your internet speed situation is, ping, etc so your mileage may vary. Hope that helps provide some context on this side of the coin!

I like the vods (mostly) over the regular episode because I like seeing the vault runs themselves. The episodes feel more like everything surrounding the vaults with a 30 minute vault condensed into 4 minutes (missing a lot of detail because highlights are only highlights of they are surrounded by average stuff). Though I would like more delooting after the vaults in the vods as that's part of the payoff of the vault.

The thing about streams is that they're long and happen at an inconvenient time. I come home from work, I have an hour before I should start doing home stuff, I just want to sit down, watch something condensed, and move on with my life. And it's pretty straightforward with YT. But with streams... I join, and then nothing is happening. And continues to not happen. And then I have to go. The best of two worlds is edited streams. The best example I know of is DarkViperAU. Most of his episodes are recorded during a stream. But all slow/annoying/empty parts are cut out for YT. The main downside is that you either have to hire an editor who will go through the stream and, at the very least, cut it, or you have to spend hours doing it yourself.

While playing VH yesterday, I realized how underused wands and focuses are. Shields are just better in most cases. Thus, I propose an idea. When you hold a weapon in your main hand, a shield is automatically put into your ofhand When you hold a wand in main hand, a focus would be automatically equiped. the wands could also have a small ranged attack, so you have a reason to put it into one of your precious hotbar slots

Thorns, the ultimate answer to Silverfish. You only get a single hit on me, then you die for the insult. For remotes, keep them in a central location. For little cousins, eh. One thing to remember is what seems simple really isn't, just training. How do you open Menu? Wish I knew how to map an Xbox to a Windows Minecraft. Then I could play this. I suffer from the Laptop issue of sticky movement. I cannot attack while I move, and have to stand still to do actions.. Death in the vaults~

I use my smart tv as a monitor only, I don't use any of the in built apps. Just get a cheap 4k tv, a mini pc and wireless keyboard/mouse, then you are set.
