I found this for you Quady. The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was a fraternal organization composed of veterans of the Union Army (United States Army), Union Navy (U.S. Navy), and the Marines who served in the American Civil War. It was founded in 1866 in Springfield, Illinois, and grew to include hundreds of "posts" (local community units) across the nation (predominantly in the North, but also a few in the South and West). It was dissolved in 1956 at the death of its last member, Albert Woolson (1850-1956) of Duluth, Minnesota. Linking men through their experience of the war, the G.A.R. became among the first organized advocacy groups in American politics, supporting voting rights for black veterans, promoting patriotic education, helping to make Memorial Day a national holiday, lobbying the United States Congress to establish regular veterans' pensions, and supporting Republican political candidates. Its peak membership, at 410,000, was in 1890, a high point of various Civil War commemorative and monument dedication ceremonies. It was succeeded by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), composed of male descendants of Union Army and Union Navy veterans.

Something so nice and peaceful about car camping in the rain. The lightning is kinda scary but so cool at the same time. I just spent two months traveling out of my suv with my pup and filming. We only had a few rainy days but But listening to the rain hit the roof of my car was definitely relaxing

All you need to clean a cast iron pan that has food residue stuck to it like that is to fill it full of water and set it back on the fire. After it simmers for a few minutes it will wipe clean with a paper towel.....back on the fire to dry it out & you’re done.👍 I’m a lifelong resident of Nebraska, too, and I’ve been to many of these places, but I still love seeing places I haven’t been to, YET!😎

Love the sounds in a thunderstorm. Put water in pan and let it soak over fire while you eat. A miracle will happen. 🤣😂 Love Corned Beef hash. I add Bell Peppers, Chile Peppers and Onions to mine. Sometimes I add extra diced potatoes. It’s da bomb on corn tortillas.

Generally speaking -- not addressing this to you, Quady, I'm sure you know this -- if there's less than ten seconds between the flash and the bang... get thee to a safe place! Lightning can strike from a clear blue sky up to 2 mi/3.2 km away from a thunderstorm. And whatever you do, *_never_* stand outside during a thunderstorm and say "and if I'm wrong, may God strike me down!" because it _has,_ completely coincidentally, happened. XD

Mike, a couple of tips. One, when using a newly seasoned cast iron pan, grease it up very well. I found that out the hard way. Two, if you must eat corned beef hash, try mixing in pickled beets. Unless you hate beets. Makes a concoction known as "Red Flannel" here in the South.

When I see the places you find for quick camping trip, it looks a lot better than a van and Walmart parking lots. Free and $15.00 a night for primitive works for me. A pick up with a cab top works for me, secure lock or no. I wouldn't have much in the back to begin with but then living full time that bare bones? Not sure if that's something I could do.

Hey Crazy, I do a fair amount of camping, I live in Northern California, little town called Vacaville, I have a cabover camper, and a jeep TJ, I use camper on long trips with the wife, but I do a shitload of tent camping trips on the Rubicon trail all summer, kayak on the high lakes and rock crawl in the jeep. Google the trail and see if it is something you would like to do , me and my crew would love to have you as a guest, we will pack all food beer and bourbon and supply all camping gear. You just have to show up with your swishers. I'm sure you get alot of invites, but if you actually read this, let me know, the Rubicon is our second home, we would love to share it with you. Take care brother, keep up the awesome content! Dale Kent
