That was an unfortunate outcome with the battery not shutting off with a large load. Great user manual. Thank you for the review.

The lack of safety features is definitely scary. Your haircut looks good. Did you donate what was cutoff

Same class as that Cyclen unit you tested previously. Be interesting to see what the heat camera shows in particular in the region of the BMS during over amperage draw tests; again especially when you pushed it to 250 amps. Another beast of a battery that likely will handle a short flogging now and then.
@OffGridBasement9 ай бұрын
Yes. I would really need to open up the battery to get the proper temperature. I think the battery would fail before getting good reading through the case. Thanks for the comment.

Seems like a good choice if you at need to draw high current in a pinch and keep in mind the lack of safety shutoff. Install a circuit breaker if it makes you feel better.

@12: What is the brand of that charger? I did not hear the name clearly, thanks.
@OffGridBasement8 ай бұрын
It's the Li Time 20A lifepo4 charger. Here is a link: www.litime.com/products/litime-14-6v-20a-lifepo4-battery-charger-for-12v-lifepo4-lithium-battery?ref=f-naaMXh7GcHAa

What cells are being used and are they grade A or B ?
@OffGridBasement6 ай бұрын
The cells are grade A, but they still haven't gotten back to me on the manufacturer.

That battery will not stop unless it detects to much heat... its a good battery.
@OffGridBasement9 ай бұрын
The battery will work just fine for 99% of all applications. It's the 1% that connects one battery to a 5k inverter that I worry about. Thanks for the comment.
@chrisreynolds63319 ай бұрын
Scary that it happily delivered over 400 amps and it clearly wasn't going to stop. If I had one I would definitely fit a fuse, but I would still be nervous using it. It just shouldn't be like that.
@OffGridBasement9 ай бұрын
No it shouldn't. If you've done a power audit and know your limits then it will be fine. Thanks for the comment!

Just wait till you look inside and find the tiny 7AWG wire on the positive. At least that’s what mine had.

I just thought it was more appropriate to say Hi how you are doing in the most recent video. You know the semi approved invertor that UK had problems with getting an export Tariff, its coming to the US of A rebranded and price hiked but if you want to charge on the camp site . EcoFlow 800W Alternator Charger Regular priceUSD $599.00 Howdy.
@OffGridBasement9 ай бұрын
That is a bit high of a price. Bummer for all the issues. Thanks for the comment.

@@OffGridBasement Grid companies just cant seem to use common sense. They just want to rubber stamp electrical certs. Greta Jungburg would be upset furious. Export Tariffs should be an automatic human right lol.

you should run the test again and put the battery in your car because the starter uses more amps from the battery to start the engine.
@OffGridBasement9 ай бұрын
I don't think I have an amp meter that could capture that amperage! Good idea though!
@jab3762 ай бұрын
Bottomline , this battery is NOT safe. There are cheap alternatives on the market. Why take chances with Solorage?
@OffGridBasement2 ай бұрын
Using a 125A fuse would take care of the lack of over amperage protection. There are better alternatives out there. LiTime and wattcycle are a couple.
