Hopefully I've saved someone a very bad burn here today. Thanks for watching! Here's the washer fluid I used. www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pro...

Thank you for doing this video. I just brought a secondhand one from a workshop to use in my workshop. The person I got it from was happy to tell me he had been using gasoline. After watching this I will be flushing the system and using degreaser. I have also just subscribed to your channel. 🏴

Diesel best degreaser to use. Leaves an oil film on parts so they don't rust when cleaned. Spray carb cleaner or brake cleaner on the part wipe off and then you can paint it.

Kerosene beats diesel. No residue left.

Another reason not to use gasoline in a pneumatic pressure washer is static electricity. I used to haul gasoline, we could pump it off. But not air it off. It creates static and with the fumes and whatnot....makes a big boom

what solvent do you recommend for your 40 gallon non-petroleum based parts washer - RE40PW ? And why?

I like this stuff. Works well and can't set it on fire. www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/crown-psc-1000-parts-cleaner-5-gal-3893915?cm_mmc=feed-_-GoogleShopping-_-Product-_-3893915&gclid=Cj0KCQiAk4aOBhCTARIsAFWFP9GEWR809UddPKGJnf8zFxDnMt3vx46H2NV_ADUBUQdHNPxr5uXmsCoaAvA4EALw_wcB

Is the pressurized air tank on your solvent tank contain a diaphragm to separate the solvent and the air? Since you mentioned you were using Gasoline your creating a bomb by adding oxygen to a fuel Vapor mix. Pressurizing a solvent increases it temperature hence increasing its Vapor potential. ANY sort of ignition such as static caused by pumping the fluid while cleaning parts can cause the Pressurized tank to explode.

Exactly. Your reply perfectly outlines why you should not use gasoline in a parts washer, which was the point of this video.

Been washing parts in gasoline for 40yrs. Never once created a bomb. I want to thank you Mr. Safety engineer for telling me what not to do. I believe you would be perfect in the Biden administration telling me why I shouldn't use my gas stove or gas heaters. Please give me more of your advice.

You can right up to the moment it accidentally catches fire and changes your life forever... Just spend the $40 on the PSC1000 and be safe sir.

It's hard for me to believe that you actually used gasoline in a parts washer! Seems someone like you should know better. Your credibility just took a big hit.
