What about if you have a problem where you have to graph the linear equation but all you have is the part the x and y equals to? For example, x-y=2.

Either. It Doesn't Matter. I would subtract the +x to get 2x +4= 10 then subtract the 4 to get 2x=6 then get x=3

x = -7. -7 plus 2 is -5 and times 3 is -15. 2 times -7 is -14 and minus 1 is -15.

3(x+2)=2x-1 =3x + 6=2x-1 (I'll move +6 to the right side) =3x=2x-1-6 =3x=2x-7 (I'll move 2x to the left side) =3x-2x=-7 x=-7 (Remember,when number change sides,they change from positive to negative,or negative to positive. Basically,the opposite.) Your goal is to put everything with 'x' in it on one side,while everything without 'x' in it on the other side to separate them :)
