To make the sign diagram easier, If you have 2 critical values, plot them on your number line and put the sign opposite to coefficient "a" inbetween the numbers (-+ax^2+bx+c) and the sign of coefficient "a" outside of the numbers... + - + This means that the graph of the parabola is on the positive side (above the x axis) when the x is less than-3 And when x is greater than 7, But it is under the x axis when the graph is between -3 And 7

Happy 2 help! Because these values are being squared, the lowest value they’ll ever have is zero. Therefore, question 5 will always be greater than to -2 (which is why it doesn’t matter what x is) and question 6 will always be greater than -4 (which is why it’s not possible).
